Do you preach from Logos app? Do you have a backup plan?
I usually preach from my Logos app on my Kindle. Recently during a sermon, my logos app froze and I had to wing it from there without my sermon or notes. I guess I could have restarted the app, and just winged it until my app was back up, but I was most of the way through my sermon, so I didn't bother.
I have a Samsung tablet as well and I thought about bringing it in the pulpit with me as well as a backup.
Do any of you regularly preach from Logos or even from a tablet using Word or something else?
Do you have a backup plan if your tablet or app takes a nose dive?

I regularly - weekly (often twice on a Sunday) preach from my tablet using Logos tools.
Initially it was from a notes file, then it was from a Sermon Document, now it is normally from the Proclaim Remote app.
When I started doing this - years ago - I printed paper copies of my notes, and then moved to exporting my notes into Word (so they would be present on two different apps on the same device). But I can't remember a time when I needed a backup and so stopped doing this a long time ago.
So my notes are accessible within Proclaim or the Logos app but I don't find the need for a backup.

No I do not. I preach from my iPad Pro using Word since that's where I write out my sermons.
My backup would be to vamp until I can force close the app and restart it. In about 7 or so years of doing this I've only had to do this a handful of times at most. On occasion I've struggled to get it to open before the service since it didn't sync from my computer to OneDrive to the iPad, but again that was only a handful of times either.
I have a friend who does something similar using Evernote as his tool for writing. Another friend writes his sermons out word for word in Scrivener and exports them as an eBook which he opens in iBooks and then distributes to church members who ask for it.

Well, I'm preaching once a week (I'm a seminarist), and I always preaching from a tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab). But I don't use Logos for preaching, I use Evernote app.
And as my sermon is in Evernote, if my tablet freezes or something, I can open my sermon in my cellphone, but until last sunday, I didn't have to do this.0 -
I preach regularly from my notes converted to a personal book. I use a pc or tablet to open the full Logos program for this purpose

How are you getting your personal book on the tablet in the Logos App??? But then you state that you "open the full Logos program".
Is the word "tablet" a typo???
I use two tablets. One open to a PDF of my notes and the other for Scripture [could imbed the Scripture into the PDF note file but sometimes one wants to read more of the text]

I am using an Asus Flip. It works well. However, the plan is to eventually switch to a surface pro which is an inch smaller. I am not sure the best size, but I am assuming it would be between 10 inches and 12 inches (for me).

I Stand corrected. My own HP Envy 360 can go into tablet mode.

I preach from a Logos sermon document, but have a PDF version sitting offline in the dropbox app just in case.

Is there a way to lock the sermon in (PC) Logos program (App) so that I can't accidentally edit it or delete it?

I used to preach from a sermon doc using the Logos app on an iPad Pro, and it was great. But then I started finding items missing from the document ... I mean, a lot of items, not just one or two, so I quit. That was my primary use of the Logos app, so I really don't even use the app any more. I posted about it before, but if it's been fixed, I haven't seen any notification. I would really like to use it, but it let me down too many times.

Yes, at the top of the sermon editor page, select "text" and then the document can not be edited unless you select "All" again.
If you switch to another sermon document it will be editable while the other remains uneditable.

I did find this on a few occassions but I haven't seen it for quite some time.
Although I tend to use the Proclaim Remote app these days so haven't really used the sermon document in the Logos app for preaching for a while.
