How to I copy Bible Verses (list of passages) from the iOS App to another app?

I’m using the iPad more and more to edit my writing and I frequently need to insert passages into a document. Sometimes it is just a few verses, but other times it’s a list of passages and verses that come from different chapters. The only thing I can find is to highlight and copy and paste verses. This mostly works although the reference isn’t included in the past. However, if I want to insert two verses, I don’t see anywhere I can put those two references and copy and past them. I have to do every reference individually. Essentially I’m looking for some sort of “copy Bible verses” tool on iOS.

How are people doing this?

I would like to use Logos iOS in this fashion too. But it seems that Faithlife does not see this as a need. Others and I have requested this functionality before but sadly our inquiries have only met with 'the sounds of silence'.

Hmm. That's so strange as more and more of us will use iOS more and more. In terms of computing need, I'm at the point where I could completely go iOS. The functionality within the Logos iOS is great now. In some ways I prefer it's simplicity to the desktop app. However, there's a big need for keyboard shortcuts (for use with iPad Pro) and we really need export/share abilities. CBV is a big one--I can't see how they haven't added this?? Plus yesterday I ran a search in the iOS app and wanted to send it to a document and couldn't find any way to copy/paste it out.

If Faithlife could just add a few simple things here, Logos would be a killer app on iOS. Right now it's great to read, but frustrating to try to do content creation with.

That's a fair point, but FL really needs to shift their thinking as more and more of us do our primarily writing and work on iOS. Steve Job's analogy years ago is starting to become true. The Mac is like a truck and the iPad a car. We will always need trucks to get certain kinds of work done, but over time more people simple need cars. FL has done a great job with the interface, but they need to add some basic abilities to share out to other apps because it's already getting frustrating.

Sorry, just got bit by this again and so I had to open a OIive Tree just to copy a passage from my Bible to Word on my iPad.

This is the DUMBEST choice ever made regarding the design of these apps!! Everyone I am sure agrees and I can’t imagine why anyone would want it the other way most of the time.

Agreed. FL needs to beef up the iPad app a bit. The iPad is a real computer for a lot of users.

Yeah, the only reason I still keep the Olive Tree reader app is because of the great Bible verse copy/paste option. As soon as LOGOS adds this to the iOS version, I can finally just use 1 Bible app. The logos “Visual Copy“ feature in LOGOS needs to simply add a “Plain Text” option, it would be that easy!

A couple of years on and I could be looking in the wrong places but the facility still seems to be missing . I need to copy verses for my sons to read in church tomorrow, will go to my Olive Tree or to Bible Gateway. If it’s still not there it should be!
