Started three days ago... click on Logos icon and the opening "Logos 7" screen appears. It stays on the screen and then goes away... normally the program would then open. Now it goes away and nothing happens. Program does not run.

It looks like a problem in a DLL.
Try repairing Logos from the Control Panel and see if that resolves it.
Jack, tried your suggestion of the Control Key... same response. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Did you try repairing Logos from the Control Panel?
Graham... I am not sure how to repair Logos from the Control Panel. Maybe a little more guidance? Thanks!
I believe you are running Windows 7 SP1
If so, something like the following should work:
Graham... thanks for your help. Did the trick! I have uninstalled programs before but had not ever noticed the repair option. Running great. Thanks again.
Hi Tim
That's good news.
Thanks for letting us know
Graham
Thanks for the link Graham, the repair worked for me too : )
Excellent
Graham,
I think I have been having the same issue as above for several days now. Logos opens on the Home page, but when I click on one of the layouts it freezes up, turns gray, and on the top left says Not Responding. When I go to the control panel and click repair as you suggested, it eventually comes up. Any idea why I have to do this every time now? PC user. Thanks.

It's a different problem. If it only occurs on one layout, you need to redo it from scratch. Otherwise start a new thread and upload some logs.
Dave,
I discovered the problem: I have been adding a lot of resources (tabs) to the four windows I have set up; this was causing my computer to setup all of these resources and making my hard-drive extract a lot of information before I could start using any of them.
I tested this out by selecting a preset layout with only two windows and two resources and it came up quickly.
Please pass this on to others, in case they are making the same mistake.
Thanks,
Roger
Not to intrude, but it's not the 'mistake'. My layout uses 5 windows and about 120 resources, include 4 CitedBy panels. It's run like a top for 9 years now (Logos4 was a bit of molassas). I doubt Faithlife ever planned/designed for that heavy a use, but works fine.
I tried that but received error message when I clicked Repair: Error opening installation log file. verify that the specified log file location exists and that you can write to it.
Hi Ken - sorry to hear you are having problems.
But this thread is quite old and the issue you are having may be very different.
Are you finding you can't start Logos?
If you are still running Logos 7, please be aware it is no longer supported. I recommend acquiring the free Logos 8 Basic package (https://www.logos.com/product/168880/logos-8-basic) and seeing if that starts ok
Please let us know how you get on, Graham
