homepage. Please make random Bible quotes optional!

When i OPEN the homepage, I get a random Bible quote, if NT in Lexham discourse Greek NT, all 4 lines for every line of Greek. When using it for Bible study I can reduce the number of lines that show up, but have not found a way of doing this on homepage.

I never read it on the homepage, as I have my own system of Bible study. Could you make this random Bible passage optional? I guess we have all bought Logos Bible software because we are serious about Bible study, so do not need to be enticed by extra texts! What does anyone else feel?

You can choose what displays on your Home Page using the Customize menu. The random quotes are probably coming from the Excerpts option. There's no way of specifying choose which types of resources in your library those random Excerpts come from, so if the random Bible quotes are bothering you, then turn off Excerpts altogether. You can also turn off the Home Page so it doesn't come up every time you start up Logos, and you can get down to business right away with your serious Bible study. That's what I do.

I think the Bible passage comes from its own feature area, not the excerpts, and so we could add a special control for it. I'll put it on the list.

Thank you, Rosie, for your suggestion. In fact I have excerpts turned off. I open Logos 4 without the homepage, but like to check the homepage each day, as it has book recommendations I find helpful. In fact I think it even inspires me to buy more LOgos material than I otherwise would!
