Not a bug, but a Problem...

I have the NIV84 as my preferred Bible, but Chapter and Verse do not show along with the text (i.e. no 3:16, 10:45 etc.).  The "Title bar" at the top indicates the reference range displayed however. This presents difficulty when you want to identify a specific text I am reading.

On the Desktop Logos this feature is an option available from the Visual Filter.  This is nice for just reading purposes.

This problem has been around for a while on my Android tablet.  I have gone to other translations from time to time, and they all show the reference at the lead of the verse text.  I have tried removing the NIV84 and re-downloading it - the issue persists.  I have also updated to version 6.5.1 - the issue persists.  I can't seem to find a settings control to rectify this problem either.

Any ideas how to resolve this anyone?  I would appreciate your guidance.

Dave

Chapter and Verse do not show along with the text

This is because you have "bible text only" turned on.

Under "view settings," turn "Bible Text Only" off, or at least turn back on "Chapter/Verse Numbers."

Setting Bible Text only on the desktop syncs down to mobile devices.

Try checking in the resource settings on your Android to see if Bible Text Only is selected

    Thanks guys!

But, I'm still not there yet.  I checked my desktop and cleared the Visual Filter 'text only'.  And on the tablet Settings I don't see any item that relates to text only... or I can't find it.

Maybe I need to uninstall my tablet resource and then re-download again?

David:  On the Android app, choose the resource-specific menu (right side of title bar), then Aa View Settings. Scroll down and BTO is third from the bottom. Re: syncing the L7 setting, I had to exit the Bible app and restart it for the L7 BTO changes to be reflected.

No reason to do so... completely unrelated! I am not an Android user, so hopefully Robert's directions will help. If not, you will need to experiment to find the right path. The "View Settings" menu has an "Aa" icon.

Thanks everyone!  It's all good!  I guess when it finally synched, things came up in line for me.

I appreciate your help to close this case.  BTW these forums are great sources to learn details of this wonderful software!
