Funnily enough I was not really wanting any sizable purchases for the next month or so but could not have been happier with this months free and cheap "books" etc. Got somethings that I was wanting at a cheap price with no pressure top buy something that I really could not afford.

Excited would be the wrong word. On the other hand, there are quite a number of fine resources in the July sale. What I actually bought: Gromacki's Expository series. That's because I nearly owned it from collecting prior Daily Deals at 50%, so it was only one volume left.
But this was because I own a number of great things on sale this month. For example the John Stott Bible Studies Collections. I'm a great fan of John Stott - he was a wonderful evangelical leader and his commentaries in the "Bible Speaks Today" series are ranked top - I own them in paper and rebought in Logos. Actually this holds true for the lot of John Stott stuff coming down the line in Logos, and I buy them on pre-Pub when they appear. Those Bible Studies are no commentaries - they are real bible study material with questions and fill-in-the-box for answers. This would be one of the things I was exited about if I had missed the PrePub.
The second thing that catches my eye is the IVP Bible Background Commentary: Old Testament. Authored by John Walton and some others - it's a steal at less than 20 dollars. Actually my order history doesn't tell me when I bought it (looking at the dusty CD-ROM-box in my study explains: this was part of the legendary IVP Essential Reference collection for Libronix), and the actual resource front picture is much uglier than the one they show in the sale or on the product page. The content however is great, and unless you own this already, or another reliable background commentary: get it while you can.
The third thing I would buy this month, if I didn't own it already (and this one since 2012!): Read Greek in 30 days or less. This mainly is because somehow my buying mood confuses owning a resource with actually working it through. There have been many times 30 days since I put this into my library, but I still can't read Greek. I would buy it in the hope of getting a grip on Greek - instead I will use this to open it again, maybe make a reading plan and not only buy some exciting stuff, but learn from it.

The Commentary on Revelation named An Exegetical Commentary: Revelation by Robert Thomas is probably one of the best commentaries ever written on the book. If you agree with the grammatical historical hermeneutic, then this is probably THE best commentary there is on Revelation.
NB (or anyone else who has used "Read Greek in 30 Days or Less"), would I be correct in understanding that there is no audio with this resource--that's it's text only--and therefore while it may enable someone to learn to silently read/understand the Greek words covered in the text, the student won't learn from this resource how to pronounce the Greek words covered in the book?
Correct Rick, no audio, it’s not ‘Read Greek Aloud in 30 Days’.
Like all grammars in the coverage of greek alphabet it does give instructions on pronunciation.
Like NB Mick I need to take up and read this book. The fact I haven’t is a reflection on me, not the book.

Hi Rick, if you're looking for audio or video lessons that show you how to pronounce Greek words and letters, you might look into the Interactive Greek Alphabet Course from Mobile Ed.
In it, Dr. John Schwandt walks through the pronunciation of each letter and then introduces some basic Greek vocabulary. You can select either Koiné or Erasmian Greek—or do both—depending on your preference. There are games and other tools to help you learn quickly, and the course is an hour of video time, so you could complete it in a weekend if you really commit.
This was its pre-pub price when it finally got enough bids to get out of community pricing.
