Hello:
Britannica encyclopaedia is on sale. Is it worth it? I already own biblical dictionaries like Anchor Yale's and TDNT.
Thanks!

Hi Manuel,
Worth is subjective. It would depend on your objectives. If you are looking for biblical subjects your use for Britannica would be limited and the substantial outlay of funds even at the discounted price would be better spent on references that would have more application on biblical subjects. However, Britannica is a good encyclopedia and for secular topics, it offers good coverage. If I were you I would ask myself how likely I am to use this reference in my studies and measure cost vs. benefit that way. There is an even cheaper Britannica on CP, however, sadly it is struggling for support.
In parting, I would examine my library and ask myself what will give me the most bang for the buck and go with that.
Thanks! You've been so helpful.
Please keep in mind that we have just a meagre fraction of the real Encyclopaedia Britannica on Logos. Perhaps someday we'll have the full classic 1911 Edition, but for now, we only have the little secondary articles (Micropaedia) plus 25% of the main entries (Macropaedia).
No Plato, no Origen, no Augustine, no Martin Luther, no C. S. Lewis, no Zoroaster, no Buddha, no African Religions, no Muhammad, no Islam, no Qur'an, no Akbar, no Bahāʾī Faith, no Sikhism, no Jehovah’s Witnesses, no Pope Benedict XVI and no (you name it). You can access the real thing on their official website for free, but you'll have only 1/4 of the really useful entries if you pay for it.
Wow, thanks! You saved me a lot of money!

That’s why it’s called the No-et Edition (No this, no that, etc.). 😂🤡😁
