What is the quickest way to find what verse map is used in a resource?
Mandel, David. Who’s Who in the Jewish Bible. Philadelphia: The Jewish Publication Society, 2007.
The above resource either has a number of Bible reference errors or it is using the wrong verse map. Especially in Ezra, the references when opened in the NRSV are incorrect.

I didn't add notes as they appeared. That's why I wanted to know what mapping was used so I could go back and see if it was a production error or typos. I can't find them easily but will probably run into them again in a month or so when I am verifying my tagging. The were normally off by about 2 verses.

I think it uses the same verse mapping as the BHS or Tanak since it was published by the JPS.

AFAIK the BHS, JPS, and NRSV verse maps for Ezra are identical, so some specific examples would be very helpful.

I think you can see why the "error" rate struck me as high and suspected some verse mapping error. Sorry that starting at the end and looking for Bible references not containing the person happened to hit Chronicles rather than the Ezra/Nehemiah errors I'd found early in the alphabet.

I would initially suspect a verse mapping error, too, but these incorrect references are happening in chapters where there is no discrepancy between the BHS, JPS, and NRSV verse maps. (You can put them in the same linkset and see that they scroll in parallel with the same verse text and chapter & verse numbers.)
It seems like something else must be going on. I can alert our Content Production department.

Looks like the problem is with the print. If its a verse mapping problem they're using a verse map unfamiliar to us.

Thanks Bradley, Kyle, and Philana for looking into this. I am astonished at the rate of errors in the original book but certainly can't hold you responsible for it. I wonder if the publisher is aware of the problem.
