To immediately update to the current stable version enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

Just installed the update above only to find that my copy of Logos doesn't work.
Even the desktop icon has disappeared!! There is no Logos file to run the program in the usual place.
When I try to re-run the update file I'm told Logos is up to date. Can anyone help please ASAP?

Hi Gerald - sorry to hear you are having problems.

On initial start I had a blank screen (but was able to exit normally) second start it froze and i had to force quit but on my third attempt it started fine and feels a wee bit quicker. I am not saying that Verbum was super slow in the past just feels quicker when doing a passage guide and opening resources... So despite what i was fearing was a bad update things seem very good here. I am just wondering if anyone feels 7.17 is quicker?

And all of it was blank the 3 main icons (HOME/LIBRARY/SEARCH) were there other than that it was white and I remember my short cuts didn't even show up on the bar on the other end. The little recycle circles at that end was spinning and i was thinking must need to initialize after a few minutes i got tired of waiting and hit ⌘-Q it exited normally and then as i said restart it just from no screen come up at all.. I forced quit and restarted and it was smooth sailing after that.

Hi, I like to highlight that the old problem when opening certain functions/resources in this version of Logos would make Logos switch to Discrete GPU is happening again on my MacBookPro
I noticed Home Page, Psalm Explorer, and a whole bunch of other things can trigger the switch to Discrete GPU. Once activated it will stay that way until I quit Logos.
I am concern because it about half my battery life.

My experience with Logos 7.17 has not been good either. Like Gerald Rodgers narration on this forum, My library now only shows 7 out of 4000 plus materials following the update. I have logos platinum installed on HP core i5 7th gen desktop computer.
Where is the rest of my library collection?

Your current post count shows you at "1." Are you a new forum member (if so, welcome! [:)]), or did you change your credentials recently? In any case, I suggest creating a new thread. Explain your issue clearly and provide appropriate details, including logs (see my signature line).

I note that the folks who do the software debugging have graciously heard my complaints about 7.17 (that is, that the Home screen appears to be blank until I resize to about a fifth of the original (for example, I cannot see Layouts - I am, by the way, running El Capital on a 2009 MacPro). However, I have not heard back from them for awhile as to whether they can correct this behavior. Unfortunately, I find the scrunching up of the text in the window less than helpful when reading (and, yes, I can again resize the window back to its usual dimensions, but this is a hack). Thus I am contacting the forum as I am wondering whether I can go back to an earlier version of Verbum and 'normal' behavior.

As of August, Apple officially no longer supports 10.11. I assume FL will follow suit in the not too distant future. It may be time to look to update your computer.
