Kerioth stumps Logos, or Where is my Bible Dictionary?
In a hurry (often life is like that). Kerioth...where is that? Why does it matter? Judas Iscariot, was he from there?
Logos Bible App. I hunt here. I hunt there. Try several things. Why can't I just tap a word and find something in a dictionary? I could open a new window, dig around in my library, find a dictionary and search there. Fail. 3-4 minutes go by.
Instead, I open Bible software B. Tap the word Kerioth, tap a couple more times on obvious options and bingo--there it is in my Bible dictionary. Seconds go by. Out of curiosity I open Bible Software C. Takes a few obvious taps. Results. A few more seconds go by.
Probably I just need to learn how to do something obvious with the Logos App. If, so how?

Hi Gao Lu
If you are using the app extensively then you might like to have a look at the Beta - using that version I was able to accomplish this is seconds.
Unfortunately I seem to have deleted the 'Stable App' probably because of lack of use.,

Hi Mike
I don’t see anything different in the beta app relating to this - so interested in your comment.
As far as I can see, if you tap the word Kerioth in a Bible with reverse interlinear capability you get easy access to studying the lemma but not to English dictionaries. If you tap it in a Bible without RI capability (or in a non-Bible resource) you get easy access to English dictionaries.
This is true in both the stable and beta apps.
Am I missing something?

I opened the Topic Guide
John - The original post is referencing the mobile app. Make sure to double check which forum you are in!
True - but the Toptic Guide in the mobile app does give the required information!

No your not missing anything Graham - I am - the stable version to compare with.
You are right in what you say about the Beta and I assume you are right in what you say about the Stable version.
I assume it 'cause you are an all round nice guy who would not lead me astray. :-)

Thanks everyone above for your help.
Graham, I would love to try your idea, but how on earth do you do it? I am feeling really dumb--and happen not to be. I can pull up a lexicon, but I want a Bible Dictionary. I have a feeling what you say works, I am just not doing it right.
The topic guide is a good idea. If the user is online (Often, I am not). It requires knowing the spelling, or copy and paste, finding one's way through the menu, and a new window, and it should work. I tried it.
Half a minute of rotating spokes and it timed out. Tried again. Half a minute more of spokes and I got results! Good results. I am thankful for that. Yet, I like the "seconds" method better.

So Gao (version 6.5.4)
I opened a book (RCL) and worked with the word 'Pentecost'
If I very quickly tap the word it opens navigation facilities top and bottom of the screen.
If I double tap the word a black navigation bar opens above the word.
If I tap and hold my finger for a second a white box opens which looks up the word - in my case in the Concise Oxford English Dictionary.
If I touch those three dots in the top right corner I can select "Search' from the drop down and type in 'Kerioth' (making sure that the search range is appropriate) and have results in a couple of seconds.
