Calvin's Commentaries showing in the Passage Guide?

The new Calvin's Commentaries are not showing up for me in the passage guide in the release version of Logos 4 (4.0a SR-3). They do show up in my beta version (on the same computer but a separate user account).

In another thread one or two others reported the same problem. I'm posting this issue separately to see what others are experiencing with this issue in the release version passage guide. Please report whether you can or cannot get the new Calvin commentaries to show up in the passage guide of the 4.0a SR-3 version. Thanks.

I don't have 4.0a SR-3 anymore on either of my machines. Maybe the new versions of the commentaries were released as 4.0b files (there are sometimes changes between versions that make new files incompatible with previous versions). That shouldn't have been done, because 4.0b hasn't shipped yet, but that sort of thing has happened before (when they accidentally released the new version of the Help file in 4.0a format before 4.0a had shipped, which caused everyone who didn't have 4.0a to experience a crash when they tried to access Help), so it's possible that's what happened.

I just wonder if anyone is getting these to show up in the release version?

I have the 4.0a SR-3 version and I am not able to get Calvin in the passage guide

The new Calvin's Commentaries are not showing up for me in the passage guide in the release version of Logos 4 (4.0a SR-3).

I am using Logos Logos 4 (4.0a SR-3 (4.01.3.5180) & the new Calvin's commentaries does shows up in my passage guide. No problem here.

I am running Logos 4 (4.0a SR-3), and Calvin's Commentaries do not show up in my passage guide. I have not tried the beta build to see if that corrects the problem on my end.

They now show up in the passage guide on the Mac side, but not on the Windows side I have installed in Parallels.

Thanks for the responses. Not many to draw any conclusions from, but I know I am not the only one who is not seeing these new commentaries in the Logos 4 release version.

Any other experiences?

I have added the series to my prioritised list. I get Calvin on a PG in the books correctly tagged into the series (e.g. Ge1.1) but not in those volumes not tagged (e.g. Jn1.1)

I have added the series to my prioritised list.

When I do this I also can get the PG to 'find' Calvin (at least the 15 volumes that have the series tag). If I do not prioritize Calvin's Commentaries they do not show up.

So the question is to Logos: what is going on? We shouldn't have to prioritize a resource to have it show up in the Passage Guide.

Have you tried all of the different commentaries? As I said before, a few of Calvin's Commentaries in L3 don't have a verse pane, so they never show up in the passage guide. Is this the problem?

No. I tried about four or five. Pretty random choice, too. So I am pretty sure that isn't it. (Those volumes also navigated by verse in 4.0 because I wanted to be sure that a PG would have a chance of finding something in the commentary.)

The fact is without being prioritized I get nothing. Once prioritized I get results.

Aaron, would you confirm whether prioritizing the Calvin's Commentary series gets them into the Passage Guide? (Only 15 of the 19 are tagged for the series, so if you aren't sure one that is, use Romans. If you prioritize it, it will bring in the rest of the series, minus the 4 untagged ones).

I am seeing the same functionality as Mark, in that when I added Calvin's Commentaries to my Prioritized list, it then showed up in the Passage Guide.

Yes. Prioritizing puts them in the Passage Guide. I tried Romans and it seemed to work fine, but I tried John 1:1 and it didn't show in the PG. However, John 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 etc did.

Thanks, everyone. At least we know a work-around. I don't have this problem in the beta version so when that goes live hopefully this issue will disappear.
