Just noticed this Lexham title today. Looks interesting but doesn't have a discount. Error?

Wasn't this supposed to be an EEC title that we have been waiting for?
[:D]
If true, wouldn't that be a kick in the pants!
Looking through EEC, it sure looks like it, but the cover is different.

Lexham has a number of new titles in prepub with no discount. I don’t think it is an error.
That is what it looks like to me. I've already paid a premium price for this once. I certainly would not pay for it again!
The details certainly seem similar.
There is no pre-order discount for this title at this time. Lexham offers pre-order discounts on select titles, mainly because our titles are already funded and don't fall into the traditional Pre-Pub program.
While this title was submitted for the EEC, we decided it would be better off as a stand-alone commentary since it's so pastoral. We are working on contracting a replacement Jeremiah volume for the EEC to be released in the future.

Personally I think I would rather have the more pastoral one... Many of us appreciated the scholars and styles of theirs. For some one expecting a commentary on Jeremiah by Walter C. Kaiser, Jr. to pull it to sell it to us as a separate commentary feels like an utter bait and switch practice. But worse than that you are telling us we can buy the original volume we were expecting?

It'd be nice if they gave eec owners a discount to purchase this volume
*Hoping*
Agree this is a disappointing turn of events and I won’t be ordering this title at full price.

This sounds like an interesting and helpful commentary but I won't be ordering (at this price).
Can you please clarify what happens if we bought the combined Jeremiah & Lamentations EEC as a standalone product? I assume we still get the Jeremiah EEC when it's completed? And can we get a refund if we decide we don't like the author when they're announced? Or can we get this new Kaiser volume at no extra cost instead if we don't want to wait?
Hello all,
We haven't made this announcement yet, but we will be unlocking this volume for people who pre-ordered the EEC volume prior to this posting.
We've decided to make it a standalone only for the consistent format & tone of the series. It is an excellent commentary, I think it will be a great addition to your libraries. You will still receive the EEC volume when it ships.
Best,
Jesse

Thank you Jesse. So if I understand you correctly, anyone who has pre-ordered this volume or the entire EEC will get this volume for free?
Thank you for this. Frankly I was angered in hearing it was not considered part of the EEC and that you were starting all over in searching for another author. Again, thank you!
Yes, that's right.

Thank you Jesse. Will this show on our pre-order page or will it be added to our account after it goes live?

It will be added to your account after it goes live.
That is the Logos Bible Software I am pleased to support. I was already composing an angry post before I read this. Thank you for restoring my trust.
Thank you. This was one of my most looked forward to volumes in the ECC..
Thank you Jake and Jesse!
Thank you Jesse, Jake and FL. This is the best news I’ve had today.

I have bought the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary (EEC) (11 volumes set) in year 2017, just wondering am I entitled to this volume? [:^)]
Thanks.
I bought a base package in 2017 which included Jeremiah and Lamentations (EEC). Will I also receive this volume for free?
Thanks!
Alright! I went ahead and preordered the volume; since according to this It’ll be free if you preorder or preorder the entire EEC set will get it for free. Can’t beat that!

If you look at the original post, it says "people who pre-ordered the EEC volume prior to this posting." Sorry, DAL!
Oh well! I’ll check it out and if I don’t like it then I’ll return it. Nothing to lose and a lot to gain 👍😁👌

I have the same question.
Once again this shows the negligence of Faithlife in communication again. Kaiser is my favorite Old Testament author and I have been waiting anxiously for this commentary through EEC only to have it appear as a stand alone. We should have been told this before the product went live. But I expect nothing different from Faithlife as it's been proven time and time again how incompetent communication is about anything much less EEC.

Did you not read the entire thread? If you have purchased the EEC, you will receive this book! It just won't be a part of the EEC series.
Yes, I read it. But still it's a lack of communication by Faithlife.

I just saw this and am very excited. I just finished reading through Jeremiah and would have loved to have Kaiser's pastoral insight there. Logos' unnecessary generosity here is amazing and so appreciated. Thank you. I can't wait for Q2 2019 or whenever this gets unlocked.
I alreday own the 'Lamentations' volume by Chou, and the rest of the 11 volumes set. Will I receive this resource too for free?

The post states:
we will be unlocking this volume for people who pre-ordered the EEC volume prior to this posting.
Was that true of you on Sep 11, 2018? If so, then yes.

Thank you!. I purchased the 11 volumes set last april. But I don't have any pre-order open on any title of this series.
Then the answer is NO

Good Afternoon Jesse
Just checking to see if you have any more updates on this title. Last I saw was an April release time frame. Looking forward to getting this volume!
Good Morning Jesse
Just curious, to those of us eligible for this, should we pre-order it and the price will be dropped before shipping or will this ship and someone will have to go through and manually add people?
The Jeremiah volume now shows a ship date of 6/19...
I see this book ships in two weeks and I am curious if this is still the plan or if it has changed. Thanks!
..... and some of us have bought the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary (EEC) (11 volumes set) in year 2017, just wondering were we entitled to this volume?
Ships in two days!

Nope, you’re not entitled to anything unless you preordered the entire EEC before this volume went into prepub. Nice try, though 😂
DAL
By the way, Lexham Press needs to step up their game and provide sample pages for their products. Returns can be avoided if sample pages are provided. Just a common sense hint 😉
Check your emails! Owners of the EEC get the Walking with Ancient Path's volume for free. Not sure how they are selecting people but good stuff!
Thx Faithlife/Logos!
