Clippings help on iPad
Is there an easy way to get a couple of lines in a clipping on mobile?
I was trying to make some clippings from a commentary on the iPad mini running iOS 12. It didn't work from the popup you get with the highlight and when I was able to get one from the system menu I got the whole page which I then had to delete most of the text to get the part I wanted.
Thanks,
Bill

Please provide a few more details
I was able to add a clipping of a few lines from the popup menu and it worked as I expected.
What happens when you try - and which version of the app are you using?

Well, I'm using the latest version of the iOS app, and I just tried again (the last time was two days ago) and this time it did work.
Is there a way to get a clipping without highlighting?

Yes, I am highlighting by swiping because I don't seem to get the other way to select text. Do you have a suggestion?

If you "long-press" a word you should get some selection markers which you can then move to cover the text you want to clip.
Then you should be able to select Clipping from the popup menu.
This should work whether or not "highlighting by swiping" is turned on.
Which part of that isn't working for you?

I guess I'll chalk this up to user error.
