July 1st, and Still Have Access to Logos Cloud Resources

It's July 1st, but when I access Logos Cloud resources in my library that I know I don't directly own, they are still opening perfectly fine for me, and I can fully use them.
Should I run "delete unlicensed resources" now or should I wait and enjoy the resources a little longer before access to them are snatched back? :-)
Thanks!

To ensure no one had to lose access to Logos Cloud, we extended the bomb date through tomorrow. The updated LogosCloud.com should go live later tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. When do I need to run "delete unlicensed resources"? Even if I signup for a Cloud plan, I'll probably run it before I do just to ensure I clean up everything from the test.

Tomorrow. Make sure you update your licenses first. I'd probably restart after that as well. Then you can run "delete unlicensed resources."

Is there a command I need to run in order to update licenses?

No, if you're online your software will poll the licencing server every few minutes for updates.
(If it doesn't work for any reason, then update resources will do a thorough licence check, but it shouldn't be necessary.)

Sounds good. I'll open Logos and let it poll.

Looks like I had the date wrong. The licenses are in place through EOD today. Sorry for the misinformation.

Sounds good. They are still working for me. :-)
What I would really like to know is will Cloud Essential contain all of the current and future EEC volumes, as well as does Cloud Plus contain Discourse OT and Discourse NT?
If so, I would be willing to spring for Essential right away, spring for Plus this fall when I go back into seminary, then spring for Premium as soon as my L6 base collection is paid off.

4th July and all the cloud resources are still there... not that I mind but I hope I'm not paying for them?

It's not the 4th July in Bellingham until another 7 hours...

Apparently the Faithlife strategy is to have you subscribe to the Cloud sight unseen. There is no way to know what you're getting until you have actually parted with your money. Then they'll tell you. I have never seen anything so STUPID in my life.

They have provided the contents both as pdf's and as bibliography documents. You think that's stupid ... let me show you STUPID ... oops OT.

OK. As president of "My Logos Can Do No Wrong" club, I wouldn't expect you to understand, so let me try and explain it to you.
I have been with this program almost since the beginning and nowhere can I find any pdf files with this information, so how a new user would locate them is beyond me. Perhaps you could tell us where these may be found.
As for your paste of the alphabetical bibliography list in your other post, that looks to me that you must have subscribed already or it wouldn't be showing up in your program - at least it's not showing up for me. In any event that sure doesn't help anyone who is just trying to decide whether to get the program.
The only bibliography list that I can get is the one Jacob Cerone provided in the second post under the 'Need More Info' thread, and I certainly don't find that to be in any alphabetical order. And even if it were to be alphabetical, searching through 101 pages of authors is not a convenient way of identifying resources, although they are of course there.
Finally, Jacob's statement, "Because the Logos Cloud libraries will be continually evolving, we will not publish a list of included resources." still stands on the website.
So if you would be so kind as to let us know where these things are, I'm sure many of us would be appreciative.

In Jacob's post at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/107124/740717.aspx#740717 he published three "Collection Documents".
Clicking on any of those will enable you to add a Collections document which you can then open in the Collections Tool.
I did this for the Premium document and now have a "Logos Cloud Premium" Collection as shown below (I am not a Logos Cloud Subscriber):
As standard in collections the resources are listed in alphabetical order.
Does this help at all?
EDIT: Alex - following NB.MIck's subsequent post I see that what I wrote here is less helpful than I had thought. Apologies.

Apologies if I have missed this, but I have a friend who is interested in subscribing to Logos Cloud. Is there anyway of him understanding what resources the subscription contains without downloading the software?

The bibligraphies from Jacob's post will open in documents.logos.com without needing the software:
However, the bibliographies are more comfortable in Logos (sort, find, print/export ...)

The link I referenced above - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/107124/740717.aspx#740717 - provides links to three Faithlife documents which describe the resources available at the three levels shown
I assume from what you say that your friend doesn't have any Logos software installed at the moment (if he had he could get a copy of the document and it would appear in his Collection Tool)
You could get a copy of the documents and then export them from your Collections using the Print / Export function
Does this help?

Thanks, Graham. I understood that to be the case.
I will suggest that he download the engine and browse via the collections tool.

Graham, this collection shows the 1384 resources from Premium you already own (it's much less for me), whereas the Premium bibliography document (or web view on documents.logos.com) will show all the roughly 2000 works.

You see how confusing this is to a new user then? And while the pdf files are now available through the forums, I still can't find how to access them on the site. You think the first place a new user will look for is in the forums? I'd be totally confused and lost the way things are now.

OK. I have now figured out, with great difficulty, what I needed to know, although I'm still not happy about having to sort through 160 pages of author's names to try and figure out what resources are available. Why can they not be listed by title?
Let me issue you a challenge. Forget what you know, go to logos.com and see if you can find out ANYTHING about LogosCloud - that there is such a thing even.
Then go to logoscloud.com and see if you can find ANYTHING useful there except how to subscribe site unseen.

As did mine [correctly as I do not subscribe].
But why then does my Home Page say there is a download of over 3 gb waiting?
Is it going to keep loading/unloading these expired Cloud resources on and off of my hard drive?
I have ordered NOTHING. [Let alone 3 gb's worth].

I wonder if maybe there is still something left in one of the .db's that tells Logos it's missing resources.
If you joined the Logos Cloud Faithlife group during the trial try unfollowing that group and run the "delete unlicensed resources" command.

Yes, I wondered if that would be necessary. I certainly am not going to want this down;load and re-indexing to completely tie up my computer.

Not sure why I'm getting the big resource download. I've checked under About Logos, and Logos Cloud has disappeared, therefore I shouldn't be licensed to those resources anymore. I'll let the update finish and see what happens. Then I'll attempt a delete unlicensed resources.

The download completed on my iMac, and the verdict? Absolutely nothing.
I sorted resources by "Last Updated". It's only showing me resources I downloaded yesterday from Free Friday as the latest resources.
I sorted resources by License Type. The only "Temporary" resources I have are the Logos Now interactive resources and the resources I'm evaluating on Logos Now.
Checked About Logos. No new version update, and it's only showing me on Platinum+Logos Now which is accurate.
So whatever it downloaded, it's nowhere to be seen. I'm running "delete unlicensed resources" now to see what happens.
The same download is happening on my MBP. I'll see if it gives me anything different.
Good thing I have unlimited bandwidth with my ISP so I can test this.
I do know for certain that I am not licensed to any new Logos Cloud plan yet. Only Platinum, my existing books, and Logos Now.

Thanks "FredC". After un-subscribing from the Cloud website, the warning of the impending 3GB download eventually disappeared.
[I have "download=no" in Program Setting for this very reason].
Not sure how soon as I had to step out for an hour.
So I did not [as of yet] need to use the "delete" commands.
Thanks again,

If you haven't downloaded for a few days about 2 days ago I think I got about 400 resources updated that I already owned - I think it is Faithlife's once a month push out of updated resources. Is it possible that's what downloaded?
0 -
If the application has pending downloads when the license is canceled, those downloads will not be removed removed from the system until an update check is completed. If you are actively downloading files, you will want to cancel the download. Then you can use the "update resources" command to recheck which files need to be downloaded. At this point, any unlicensed downloads should get removed, and you can then restart the download for any remaining valid resources.

I doubt it. When those resources are downloaded, sorting my "Last Updated" shows any resouce updates in addition to any new resources.
I sprung for Cloud Essentials trial, and it did download the new resources then as well as put me back on Cloud in About Logos, as well as showed Cloud as a subscription to manage at Logos.com, so at least I know that is working properly for someone that actually springs for Cloud.
