Yes, it's happened again. A new resource collection with incomplete metadata. Here's what's needed with Berkhof:

  • A automatic collection or series should be created - it's not.
  • The History of Doctrines wrongly has a period have the author's name.
  • Six of the resources have 2009 as their publication date instead of the original publication date (this, by the way is also a problem with the Calvin series).
  • The same six resources don't have the original publisher listed.

This is now the fifth release in recent weeks which has had bad metadata. Please don't do it again.

Thanks

Mark

Mark

This should be added to http://wiki.logos.com/Metadata_correction_proposals as it receives attention from Logos.

Mark, always appreciate your videos and posts on the forum. A dumb question--What does "metadata" refer to?

Come on Logos.  And I thought you had gotten your act together with the EBC release.

Technically metadata is data about data. So on a computer metadata might describe data about the datafiles on your computer (what size they are, what their date modified was). In the context of a library (and therefore Logos) it just means data about the books (author, title, publisher, etc.).

I think Bob should take some advice from himself and fire the person in charge of metadata.  He could hire Mark to do the job right the first time.

I seem to remember that the person in charge of metadata is his mother, so that may not happen! Wink

Yes, it has been fixed. The post explaining what to do to get the fix is here:
