Help! Accidentally deleted notes

I highlighted several verses of text and later highlighted the same section and right-clicked “remove annotations” to delete the highlights. However, it also removed my note files. Is there any way to retrieve them? I tried going back to previously saved layouts but note files are still gone. Thank you for your help.

Thank you. That seemed so hopeful but--oddly--they are not there. I created a new note and deleted to test it...and the new note is not there either. Perhaps there’s some kind of delay???

Can you find them at documents.logos.com?

The undelete function allows you to recover completely deleted documents.
It sounds as though you have deleted some notes with a note document (s) which this command wouldn't help with.
If that is the case the only option I am aware of that might work is to contact Customer Services tomorrow and see if they can retrieve them

Just spoke w/ tech support and there is no way to retrieve a deleted note. Unless you have other thoughts let’s pause and remember my lost notes....RIP.

They are not in your trash?

Andrew's correct. Deleted notes go into your Notes Trash (bottom left of your left sidebar). They should all be there.

Might want to let customer service know. [;)]

HI everyone! Can I say that this is why I read the fora every day - I have learned so much about Logos through the years just because someone else asked a question I never even thought of.
In this case, now that I know my notes are still "preserved" will make it much easier to toss stuff out to just clear up my workspace (I was always hesitating to do that jut because I thought they'd be GONE gone!)
Thanks! [:)]

Oooh... a follow-up question I just thought of:
So even with these items in the "trash", are they still indexed within Logos? I.e. if I'm doing a search for something, will those items still come up?

Not while they are in the trash. You have to restore them first.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you so much! God bless all of the good helpers in this forum.

Highlights in trash will prevent you deleting a style or palette until they are permanently deleted.

You didn't delete your note. You deleted the logo on your note. It is still anchored to the text. All you need to do is add the note icon back to the note in notes. It will then reappear within the text.
