To Faithlife Forums.
Unless I’m not observant.
This must mean Logos 9 is immanent.
Which do you think will come first: The return of the Lord or Logos 9?
It will be the one you least expect ;-)
9 wii be 1st in line.
I like the new name.

You noticed it before I did. [Y]
I support this change, because the forums deal with more than just Logos: Verbum, Proclaim, Lexham Press, Faithlife TV, etc.
I hope this change will reduce the (outdated) referral to Faithlife (by customers) as "Logos", which has not been part of the name of the company for some years now.
It’s right on the top of my tablet. It wasn’t there last night. But until you posted this, I didn’t notice. So you’re Sherlock Holmes compared to my powers of observation 😉
Yea... And Pluto is STILL a planet!

Me too!
So when is Faithlife 9 coming out?
Uuuuuh, no thanks! FL is the company, Logos is the Bible Software. I hope that never changes. Changing the forum to FL forums makes sense because we still have L8 category and other categories as well.
So no, please, no, no, no 😂
All we need now is new forum software.
Yes [Y] Please [Y]
Heh. Forum search is broken, but at least we can still create and reply to threads [:)]
We just got a new feedback site! That's a wonderful improvement over uservoice, letting us not only vote, but also letting us see the status of suggestions!

I‘be already suggested a week ago with [:P] that we might never see Logos 9 but instead get Faithlife Bible Software. The FL is now on the software slash screen. But I’m with you DAL on this one. Logos signifies what this product is all about. It has a specific focus unlike the broader term FL which signifies the company trying to put their stamp on every aspect of church life. And if you take away the name Logos what are they going to do with the name Verbum? Is that about to get ditched also?
I think it is more to do with the fact that the forums are not just for the Logos application, but for all Faithlife products.
For me the name Logos is not outdated. It signifies the reason I interact with this company. It refers to the specific product I use from this company. I I would not deal with them if they did not have this product in their range. It is the cornerstone product and foundation stone of this company, so when I think of this company is the name on the tip of my tongue. Their is nothing wrong with respecting historical roots and hard not to when that is the only reason we deal with this company. So if people use the name Logos I don’t have a problem and it tells me a lot about their history with this company, the main reason they got started with them and why the continue to interact with them. The name Logos Research Systems with the red logo and white writing will live in my memory till the day I die, the name FL triggers for this company trying to be all things to the church, diversifying to far from their core and doing a job below the standard they once set when they focussed only on the core product.

It looks like a Trello clone. (Which is good.)
Faithlife Forums more accurately describes the content. There are subforums for products Faithlife produces other than Bible software. (Why would I want to go to the Logos Forum for questions on Faithlife Proclaim?) I doubt this has anything to do with Logos 9.

Not a direct product relation but with them about to launch a new version of their flagship product and hopefully attract new customers it makes perfect sense to do this rebranding now just before that launch so to me it makes perfect sense for it to be a part of the wider launch strategy, but that is just MHO and you could still be right Mark.

Did you notice the band new forum, Faithlife Church Directory? Maybe they just felt it was time for the change.
Never-the-less I think Faithlife has already tipped their hand about the Logos 9 release date, and if so, then this might be coincidence or tied to that event.
I confess. It was I.
I was getting a logo made for the new Faithlife Feedback site and figured it was time to update the forums logo, too.
Now, if I can just figure out how to change the Logos Forums text under the new logo.
Hmm. Must be cached or hardcoded in somewhere.
Phil that one link you missed or in your case the one link you haven’t figured out how to change it, I’m sure many will identify with your conundrum.

I hadn’t noticed that new forum Mark, Phil has tipped his hat that he is the culprit behind the changed so your thoughts were on the mark.

If you figure that out, just eliminate it. You don't need to repeat yourself.
Ouch. Editing websites built partly from templates like the ones in your screenshots and partly from internally accessible* code is a real pain... I hope for your sake that it's cached somewhere and that either it will refresh soon or that you can easily force it to. But I'm not holding my breath!
*Ish.

Actually, it's an Accessibility issue. The logo is an image. The text... is text. So please, Phil, don't eliminate it.
PS: I note that the text that pops up when my cursor hovers over the new logo still reads, "Logos Bible Software Forums [...]"
There are much better concepts around these days than to repeat all the text that is found on images as plain text.

If the forum software supports these techniques, then I agree that the duplicate text could be eliminated.
One more reason to replace with a whole new forum :P

I'm not saying there aren't...
...I'm just implying my expectations about what the forum software can handle.
Personally, other than the mobile experience, I don't mind these forums at all. I actually prefer them to all of the other forum software I can remember using. Not that I use a lot of forums.
quoting this in larger text so I can put a +1 below it.

I remember similar sentiments being expressed at the time that the newsgroups were retired.
Ah, but this would be changing apple types. That was changing from oranges to apples.
