Just starting a trial of Proclaim.

I've exported songs from OpenLP in Openlyrics format. However, when they import to Proclaim, they are all missing the copyright details, the author details, and the CCLI number.

Is there any way that I can get this info imported correctly, since I don't want to have to edit each song individually.

Any help appreciated.

I've found the problem. If the copyright text includes © then all subsequent text (inc. copyright, authors) in the properties section of the Openlyrics xml file are ignored. It imports the next section which is lyrics, though.

I have a question. I plan to delete all the © in the xml files before importing them again. However, how can I delete the existing songs? I cannot see a list of songs. I cannot browse them. I can only call them up one at a time using the search box in the Add Song menu item. I cannot see any of them under the Browse Media menu either (understandably since they are not media if that is defined as images or videos or audio).

Am I missing something? How can I delete all existing songs?

How can I delete the Proclaim trial altogether, and then start again?

Hi John,

Sorry for the delayed response. If you log into Faithlife.com you should be able to see the presentation team connected to Proclaim and delete it. The trial is associated with that presentation team uniquely as well as the content in it.

Here is an article on how to delete a group: https://support.faithlife.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007375011-How-Do-I-Delete-My-Group-

Hi Sean, I did that, and uninstalled the software. But when I reinstalled it, although I lost the service items, the My Songs database was still there! I'm on with the chat support to try to get this sorted.

Sean,

The problem is being sent to the IT team to delete the My Songs database manually.

The right-click context menu being missing and not being able to delete songs individually is being reported as a bug.

You might also want to report the import problem as a bug too, as I mentioned in the second post above.

If I get past this difficulty I hope to try it out properly in due course...

Hi John,

Sorry I meant to follow up with you yesterday. With the update in Proclaim 3.1 your songs are actually managed through the worship team created in your Church group (automatically created when you start a new trial or account for Proclaim). The steps I gave were actually how you would have addressed this previously so a developer reminded me of the worship team which is a new way to manage your database. In this case deleting your worship team will wipe your database for My Songs. I went a head and deleted your oldest worship team, if this issue persists let me know and I can further investigate.
