Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

This tip is inspired (loosely) by the forum post: HOW TO FIND # OF REF. TO OT BOOK IN NT? - Logos Forums

Sometimes Logos/Verbum gives us a near perfect match between data and presentation, and, if one can judge by the forum, we users forget about it rather than encouraging them to extend the approach to the other data to which it easily applies. This gem is hidden under the intertext explorer tab of the Bible Book Explorer.

The facets on the left allow one to filter the data leaving a bread crumb trail (1) documenting your choices. Click on a ring Bible book section (2) to open the detail.

The detail is presented as a search with the search argument pre-built.

Other data that would fit into this style of tool include: cross-references, parallel passages, and important passages. If we give this one enough use, we encourage Logos/Verbum to extend it to the other data.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
