Hey Oldies, you're great about advising Newbies to not have their email address show and how to correct it. How about when we reply to them and quote their post, that we check to see if their email is showing, and if so, delete the @whatever.whatever. While the actual posts change to user name, email addresses in quotes are permanent.

EDITED: see post that follows this one.Don said:Hey Oldies, you're great about advising Newbies to not have their email address show and how to correct it. That is a good suggestion but it won't work with the currecnt forum software. Whenever we hit the "quote" button the software automatically registers the poster's current name into the quote. If we attempt to edit a quote the forum software gives us a "non-matching" quotes error. We instead have to cut & paste.
At least that is the way it appears to function for me. We just cannot edit the contents of the quote. (that be very good, btw. [A] )
This part is still true: But your point is well taken. Anything we quote into our post cannot be edited out by the original poster. This includes photos & unwise statements that are soon regretful.Logos 7 Collectors Edition

Hey Don! I stand corrected. I just tested it on your post and changed it to "great idea man" and IT WORKED.
So, we can implement your suggestion and save our new friends spam troubles. Thank you for bringing it up.
