Will these be integrated into the updated book?

I would be very surprised it they went across new editions; I would not want them to.
I suppose then, that notes & highlights will not be transferred either. Too bad. If someone wanted to review their answers and notes in the updated edition they would be out of luck. Right?
Different editions are considered new resources. All I know is that each new edition of this resource gets $10 bucks more expensive. I have the 2nd edition and I’m good not having the new ones 😁

The Q's have a unique reference and the A's are stored in a separate database (Selftests).This is like Notes which can accommodate changes to the text from which they are selected, but I'm not sure how additional Q's are handled e.g. a new #3 Q would offset every Answer from that point.
If the Q's are unaffected (or corrected) and some resource text is updated in the same edition, I would expect my Answers to be integrated.
A different/revised edition has a different resource Id, so I would not expect previous Answers to be integrated.

Slightly OT question. What is it about this new edition that makes you consider purchasing it "IF" you already own the previous one?

This is only true for Mobile Ed resources.
For other resource types (e.g. Commentaries, Monographs) the Answers are stored as user Notes, with a link to the individual Question. But you have to create your own Notebook unless you are content to identify them by Book in the Sidebar.
So I would not expect previous Answers to be linked to a different/revised edition which will have a different resource Id.
