ESV Study Bible Layout
How are you incorporating your new ESV Study Bible into your studies.
Bohuslav Wojnar provides a nice example in this post. I had an existing general study layout that need some work on and so now it looks like:
Main Screen:
It focuses on ESV based resource and the Lexham Series resources, with some Lexicons and a general commentary.
The screen on the second montior focuses on my other studies bibles I like to regularly look at:
It looks a little cramped because I've reduce the size to take the snapshot. I use a 24inch wide-screen so its not so cramped at full size. To reduce the number of open bible text I use the text comparison window. I also like to have informaiton and power lookup windows available on the second screen so that my eyes don't have to dart back and forth between the two monitors if I'm using either of these tools with a resource on the second screen.
I use the layout mainly for preparing for weekly bible studies at church. It generally allows me to get to the information that relates to the sort of questions that would be asked in that setting and through the lexham tools I can start to explore the use of a word in the OL if I find it particularly 'topical' in the light of the current study I am completing.
For more in depth personal studies I would use a totally different. But for the weekly bible study this is usually enough depth and if I don't go outside of it, keeps me focussed on the task at hand.
Edit Note: This is for me as a participant of the study rather than the author of the study.

I just created a simple "ESV Study Bible" Layout with Bible text on the left and Notes on the right, same Link Set. I haven't settled down to do any major study with it yet; was just poking around to see what I could see, what would get picked up in BPPT, found a bug in the indexing, etc. Sorry about the instructional arrows; I know you know how to do this. I just didn't feel like making another screenshot and already had this one lying around.

No problem I sometimes over do the instructional stuff for someone that might come across the thread that doesn't know how rather than as being directly aimed at the person I am replying to...and there are times when you are just in that mode and do it without thing about it...

Andrew,
Where did you get the Reformation Study Bible? I have the print version and like it but have not found it on the Logos site.

I got it as part of the e-Bible Collections that are now no longer available. The only way I think you can get it on the Logos site is through one of the Nelson Collection Unlocks but since these would be expensive ways to get just this one resource, besides finding one of these collections somewhere on the Net, though they are getting harder to find is:
1) The file is avaialable on the Logos FTP site: ftp://ftp.logos.com/LbxBooks/NGSTBIB.lbxlls so I would ring logos customer service and see if they can unlock this one file for you.
Note: file name stands for New Geneva Study Bible, but the resource name has been changed to Reformation Study Bible
2) If they are unable to help you can download and unlock it directly from Thomas Nelson web site but note though there the unlock process works off Libronix. I am not totally
sure how it would tie into getting the license into Logos 4 if you don't have L3 still installed. I keep L3 installed so if I found myself in this situation I wouldn't have to think about it. I assume their unlock process somehow updates your license file at Logos HQ because when I have used this service in the past for similar situations it has seamlessly and immediately integrated into my Libroinx Library. If 1) doesn't bring the result and you have to consider 2) then mention it to customer service to see if this process will pick up the unlock in L4 without any dramas.0 -

If you can find it at that price even better deal than unlocking from Nelson site.. I'd say go for that option.
