Logos 4 Reading list feature
This feature is very nicely done. I like the organization and hope the pattern can be retained. I agree that all entries including locked resources should appear initially. However, I would like to have:
1) a view of everything unlocked
2) a view of everything unlocked and unread
These may be available but I've been unable to find the help function [:$]
I also have 3 questions:
1) how much of the Logos library material is going to be added programmatically?
2) where does one view the web links that are also in the topics database?
3) is there a procedure in place to keep the data clean and current?
These matter to me in terms of how much effort I should put into the topic database - I'm one of the few consistent contributors.

Re: your wishlist. I never saw anything like those features you describe during the beta process
Your three questions:
1) Reading lists are created by whoever wants to. Logos employees have given some very good ones as examples, but anyone can add a new one or modify an existing one. So, it depends on us in many ways for how much will be added.
2) Reading Lists are on the topics.logos.com web page. In fact, when I looked at them and saw how involved YOU were with the topics, I thought that you would be sure to stumble upon them. I would think it would not be THAT hard to convert your topic information into reading lists, but I have only had the courage to add to existing lists - not create them.
3) Not to my knowledge. Changes are logged so if someone spams them, I'm pretty sure they can be reinstated, but I got the impression it is going to be based on us users, largely.

1) how much of the Logos library material is going to be added programmatically?
Reading Lists are all manually created at this time. I don't anticipate automatically generating them, since the whole point is to get human editing.
2) where does one view the web links that are also in the topics database?
The web links show up when you run a Basic Search on something that matches a topics.logos.com topic.
3) is there a procedure in place to keep the data clean and current?
We'll be working on them, and hope users will too. We're not sure how it'll all work out.
More tutorial and ideas about Reading Lists will be posted in coming weeks, once we get through the upgrade rush. Feel free to start editing topics now, though!

I am a strong advocate of the reading lists and hope others contribute. They have great possibilities. If you choose to give creating them a whirl let me know. One thing that will help you out is using the location copy utility. Select the RL option as below and when you paste it into the reading list it will be in a clean format.

Thanks - the feature does make it very easy to build the reading list

And you have Philip to thank for that little gem.
