Got my iPad2 this week. Logos was my #1 reason for buying it and was my first install.

Outside of Logos, what apps do you find most useful?

Helping people find seminary scholarships and church jobs.

most-used apps on my part

  • drop box
  • nextag
  • kindle
  • discover (excellent wikipedia app)
  • friendly (Facebook)
  • perfect browser (has tabbed browsing with tabs running in parallel, find in page, force desktop web rendering as opposed to mobile, and more...but I understand atom browser or something like that has all this plus adblock. Also: I understand rooted ipads can have a different default browser selected)
  • evernote (major win)
  • flipboard
  • instapaper
  • sportscentral
  • amazon (makes sense since I have an amazon prime account)
  • iTim text (I use this because it's compatible with google voice and can use that number)

I use splashtop which is a cheap but very effective remote access tool.  For about $2.99 i can access my laptop and use the full features of Logos.  This allows me to do reading and highlighting.  It works really well for me.

Logos is the reason I bought my iPad and my most valuable app.  After that,

PaperDesk - for note taking while using Logos

Dropbox

MLB.com  - get to watch the New York Yankees in Mississippi!  Who'd a thunk it?

Dishnetwork app - get to watch my home TV DVR (live or recorded programs) anywhere there is 3G or wifi!

Kindle and Nook apps

Netflix

Audible.com

Chess Free - for playing chess and chatting with my son who lives 600 miles away.

Zinio - magazine subscriptions - National Geographic, etc.

Starwalk - astronomy progragm - point iPad at a star and identify it - Wow!

Did you get the regular  PocketInformant or the HD? How is this better than using Microsoft's Outlook? Thanks.
