Please report any issues with this beta in new threads.
It is smoother...
It installed on my Transformer just fine.

We really need a new interface http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34483.aspx Like thisWhen I open it, i dont want to stare at my library.
I put it on my nook color and it is a lot more responsive. Thanks for the new beta!

Just installed on my HTC EVO Shift 4G - running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, smooth upgrade and seems much more responsive for me as well.
I updated it on my Droid... which is about 1 1/2 old... the first two betas had a noticible delay when advancing to the next page... I've used it on a couple of hospital calls just because there are some times when I don't have my Bible with me, now that I need something a little bigger than my old 6pt pocket bible... the delay was a little troubling... I thought maybe since I'm using the first Droid and not a newer smart phone maybe that was why... but with beta 3 it is much more responsive and the page advance (turn) is much improved.
I did have one time when I was in the app when my Droid went to it's startup screen, and at first, Logos app icon wasn't in my list of apps when it restarted... but after a few minutes, it reappeared. First real hard stop or crash I've experienced so far... I was turning pages to see the progress and it seemed to lock up a little and then just restarted... I'll keep experimenting. I also was curious about battery life while running.... it seemed to lose a lot of battery life when this reset occured, but it was toward the end of the day... I'll keep monitoring that...
Having said that, for my purposes, the Logos Android App is exactly what I needed it to be... I will mainly use it for reading, particulary at times when I'm somewhere with time to kill and don't have anything else along, like a laptop or physical book or my kindle... and this way I don't have to waste it shooting birds at pigs... though it's fun and a little addictive, I'd rather be reading something edifying... I'm sure if I had a tablet, I'd want a more features like highlighting, notes, etc... but I don't have one at this point, and I'm not sure I can justify getting one right now... I'll probably be waiting to see the next generation of tablets, and whether I'd go for something running, Android, IOS or Windows 8 when it comes out... I'm actually thinking from what I'm reading on Win8, that a tablet with a enough memory to have Logos running on it would be the way to go in about a year or so.. I'm patient... though I love new technology... I can't always justify being an early adopter from a Christian stewardship standpoint, especially when Logos gets a fair amount of my investment for resources anyway!
How's that for a rambling post...

That drew a chuckle.
Thanks Dave,
Verse list improvement on tablet is great! And it is much faster and smoother.
Lots of good suggestions but you are doing very well--- thanks.
Installed fine on my Samsung Epic rooted 2.2.1
The page turning is much improved, many thanks!
Works great on my HTC Desire. Thanks!

Yes, finally an open Beta!
Just downloaded this and looks like it will be fun to explore. Thanks to Logos!
Installed fine on my Sansung Captivate running Froyo. I like access to my library like this. There does not seem to be a way to adjust text size; make notes, etc. but it is great to have access! Like the fact that you can download and make books resident on the phone.
Installed fine on my T-Mobile G2 Android version 2.2.
Installed easily on my new Galaxy. Android version 2.2. Also looking forward to taking this out for a spin, kicking the tires, and finding out what's under the hood.
Installed on Droid X fine
Good on my Droid X too!
A HUGE suggestion...
In my opinion, it's an absolute MUST that some sort of "known issues" list be included on the main Android for Logos front page. That would eliminate forum posts about no NIV or why the Hebrew isn't displaying correctly. These are all in the list that early testers had access to (not to mention this very thread), but it's not easy for new testers to find.
Thanks!
Mike
Yes, Michael's post. So many questions are answered in the other thread, but most people aren't looking at it.
Logos Folks:
This application is going to be really special. I'm beginning to see how my investment in resources (certainly very modest compared to other forum users), plus an Android with a fat data plan, is going to payoff.
