This morning around 9:30am PST we disabled syncing notes and highlighting up to the server for iOS users. We did this because of bugs discovered that could potentially corrupt notes and highlight data. We are in the process of determining if any user's data has actually been corrupted.
We are currently testing the fixes and will be submitting an emergency update to the App Store as soon as possible.
Any notes and highlights you make on your iOS device will be preserved on the device. Once the app has been updated with the fixes, syncing will resume and any notes and highlights you made will be synced up. If you delete the 2.0.1, any notes and highlights made on the device will be deleted as well.
I'm very sorry we did not catch this during our beta testing period. We have just added a person to the mobile team dedicated to testing. If you would like to help beta test future versions, I do have a few positions available. Please send an email to iphone@logos.com. Unfortunately we have to limit the number of devices we can use for beta testing because of restrictions of the Apple developer program.
Thanks for hanging in there with us.
Dave
Thanks Dave,
Keep up the good work.
Hope you are able to get unpacked in a decent and timely fashion.
Thanks for the honesty and the communication Dave.

Thanks Dave. I thought I'd post my problem because I'm worried I might have a corrupted note/highlight. My Logos 4.5 SR-2 (4.50.0.1869) is fine as long as I don't go near a highlight in 1 John chapter 2 (ESV). If I go near the text Logos crashes. Everything else seems fine as long as I stay away from 1 John in the ESV.

Please post logs of the crash to the Windows or Macintosh forum (depending on the platform you use; a developer from one of those platforms should be able to review your logs).

Thanks Bradley but how do I post a "log"? Is it just posting my problem in the Windows forum? I'm kinda new to this stuff.

The log files themselves should be created automatically in your "Documents\Logos Log Files" folder. (More details are here: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging#What_do_I_do_with_them.3f)
Instructions on uploading them to the forum can be found here: http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs

Dave,
Thanks for your work on this. One question: does this mean that only *uploading* of highlights from iOS devices is affected, but *downloading* highlights to iOS from the PC app is unaffected?

Yes and no. The iOS app will download highlights (from your PC) as long as you haven't changed anything on your mobile device. Once you edit/add/remove notes or highlighting on iPhone/iOS, it will try to upload your changes--which will fail--and sync will be disabled. (There is no indication in the iOS UI if this has happened.)
Thanks. I will wait for the fix before highlighting more.

OK, now I am getting freaked out. Saturday 12/28/12 - 12:04 a.m. and it is working both ways! Is this a mistake or did you guys stay up late getting things fixed?

Ok, now you are freaking me out, are you writing this from a time machine? Or just from a rift in the time/space continuum?

Oops... I typed an extra number! 1/28/12....... you will have to cut me some slack. It is late!
Thanks for letting us know.
Looking forward to the fix. Grateful for the new features!

I'm still crashing on my iPad even after this disabling.
My workaround is to go into airplane mode, then restart Logos, exit airplane mode, and see how long it lasts...

Hi Michael
I've started to see this as while.
Previously - after the disabling - the updated app worked ok when online, now it crashes unless I am in airplane mode.

I am not seeing crashing, and sync appears to be working both ways now.
I was wondering if the sync was back up? I have been out and about and highlighting and adding notes from a mobile device (iPhone 4). I have just fired up L4Mac and it appears everything has synced as expected.
[Edit: Fred, you beat me to it!]
still getting crashes when trying to sync notes and highlights, BUT the good news is three reading that I started on the first of the year just showed up and are synced as well.
