If you can identify the error, check out this page.

You can also try starting to a blank layout by holding the CTRL key and at the sign in screen choose Open to Blank Layout. If this works, there may be an issue with a layout.
If that doesn't work, enable logging.
To enable logging carefully follow all the instructions in the link below:
http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Then run Logos and see if you can repeat the issue that caused the crash. Make sure to post all the log and txt files here for review. Here are the Wiki instructions for how to upload logs.

If you use Avira or Webroot anti-virus, it is likely that it has (incorrectly) blocked Logos 4 as a virus.
Other users have posted steps on how to restore Logos. For Avira instructions, see: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/44395/330581.aspx#330581. For Webroot, see: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/42487/319273.aspx#319273

same thing happened to me.
Is Norton a suspect in this? (as in along w/ Avira & Webroot?)

No known cases, Nathan. But you can apply the same strategy of excluding folders/files from its scan, and the same methods to fix the problem. Otherwise we need to see logs and/or a screenshot of the message you are getting. Please read the (blue)linked wiki articles carefully to get logs and upload logs or provide a screen shot.

I have this problem with Logos 4 update recently. In the end, I uninstall Avira and put in another anti-virus, and Logos 4 works well for me again. Got to go through the tedious indexing process though.

It did appear that the security was the issue. I do not use Norton, Avira, or Webroot. I use Mircosoft Essentials. What I had to do was fully reboot my system. Once I did that, I was able to load the Software. Appears that somehing was not being reconginzed in the registry.
Thanks to all who responded for the ideas.
