I have installed Logos on my account of my computer. How do I get it to appear on the other accounts on the same computer (e.g. my kids accounts)?
Hullo Brian,
Logos cannot be shared across the family in the way that Libronix could be due to a different method of installation + License Agreement. Basically, you are the sole user. You can install Logos into other user accounts on your computer but they will share the same preferences and documents (notes, highlights, Guides, etc) as these will be sync'd to each installation. Please consider this interpretation before you do so: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/341/3265.aspx#3265
Welcome to the forums Brian!
The Logos EULA states that you are licensed to use Logos on multiple devices, but that use be limited to one person. For families there can be some exceptions, if the use by other family members is incidental.
To install Logos4 for more than one Windows User, you need to install Logos for each user. This means that all the resources will be installed for each instance of Logos on your system. I'm not sure there is a way around this. But you can speed up the process by following the directions in the wiki here: http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers
You should also know that all notes and highlights will be seen and can be changed by anyone you let use Logos4. That means for you that any family member not only can see all your notes, they can delete or change them. It also means you can see, change and/or delete any of there's. This is also true of highlighting, favorites, and several other Logos4 features.
You can see the full EULA here: http://www.logos.com/ArticleViewer/2090
If after reading the EULA, and reading the above caveats you still feel comfortable creating an install for your kids, you may want to create a common user account for all of them, to avoid duplicating the resources multiple times.
I would guess that you will be disappointed with this answer, and I understand that. But at least now you know.
It's possible that there are some work-arounds for this situation that I don't know about. Perhaps another user will suggest a better solution.
