Bob, as a lawyer who uses Lexis Nexis, a "cloud computing" style application on which I do much of my legal research, there are advantages to the cloud model.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I were to subscribe to Logos, I could access more materials cheaper.  As a layperson, there are a lot of commentaries I can't afford that I'd love to occasionally consult.  A "rental" style program would grant me access to those materials without paying through the nose.

The disadvantage, however, is obvious.  I wouldn't own a single book.

And, there's going to be something simply elegant about being able to access my Scholar's Library in places where internet is spotty.

Bohuslav Wojnar:
we drive  a little bit more crazy here in Europe than you in the US

I started to say, "Is that even possible?" Geeked. But then I remembered the area near the water front in Naples (and that was 50 years ago!).
