I have just downloaded proclaim. Does it play the presentations off a pc/mac or does it play them out of the cloud?
And.... I think it can be controlled by an iPhone am I correct? How? Sorry if these are newbie questions
Mike
Fully synced collaborated presentations and those just built on the one computer are played directly from the machine in question.

Yes (if you have Wifi in the place you are presenting - I think you don't actually need internet - just a WiFi network)

I believe you need Internet access for this to work - but it is a long time since I checked!
The presentation is indeed fully cached to you local machine so if you lose an internet connection there will be no problem to continue showing the presentation.
With the free remote in your app store (just search for Proclaim) can be used to control the presentation even if you do NOT have WiFi. You can control a presentation using your phone network. By logging into the Proclaim remote, we know which of your presentations are On Air. This also works over WiFi.

OK...this is just COOL!!! New to Proclaim also...so looking forward to this.
Am I to understand...could several of us be logged in...say, Worship Leader and Pastor...and both control presentation? Understand there could be "dueling reomotes" problem...but...if WL is controlling songs...then Pastor controllling Bible verses, outline, etc...is that possible?
And...when logged in from android device...does that cut out the local control at the computer?
Know these are basic questions, but haven't had time to really check some of this out...
Yes. We sometimes have our preacher "drive" his own content slides via smartphone, and the rest of the presentation is run by someone at the back on a computer.
This can cause some fun if the preacher "butt dials" the app during the music portions.
We also used the app when the cable between our computer and our projector died. All we had left was a 6-foot cable, so we moved the computer under the projector (right on stage), then had our presentation person drive the slides from the phone. Because we are the masters of jerryrigging at my church.
Hahaha...guess I will have to watch what I do with my phone!!!
For cable issue...we learned from experience...any time you position something "out of reach" - go ahead and run ALL the cables to the input selections...for exactly the reason you mention - so when a cable fails, or even a port...you are ready with a backup...and saves having someone on a ladder while the Worship Leader is leading songs.....plus, if you need to do something "unusual" - maybe add a device for a one-time funciton, you have the cables ready to go...
Rebecca...am I missing something...but it appears you can only go page-by-page on the remote...there is no way to skip pages or jump to specific pages as you can from the master computer...or am I doing something wrong...
You can select the little square icon in the upper right-hand corner of the control window to view the order of service. That will allow you to skip slides to the next slide item.
On the iPad, you should have a horizontal slide preview across the bottom of the screen as well.
