So far no one seems to have found a way to get this to work on Mac, unless you also have Windows available. Experiments are going on. [:)]

Do you have L4 Win installed anywhere? If so, you can import the list(s) into the Windows version. Then they will automatically synch into you L4 Mac. I keep Windows around for two reasons:
1) To accomplish such tasks as these when L4 Mac will not work.
2) It builds my ego as I congratulate myself on that stroke of genius I had 28 years ago to choose Macs as my compute of choice. [:D]

Wonder if have tried creating folder ~/Libronix DLS/WordLists then copying your word list into the folder followed by Import Word Lists command ? (note: the Libronix DLS folder does have one space between Libronix and DLS)
Personally created folder ~/Libronix DLS/WordLists then copied file WordList-3John-1x.lbxwdl from my Libronix 3.0g installation and used Import Word Lists command in Logos 4.6 on Mac OS X 10.6.8:

That will not work unless the user can acquire the word list from Logos 3.

As Jones noted in the initial post, he does not have Logos 3 installed, so this will not work. Any attempt to download word lists from the Logos website and import them into L4 Mac is doomed to failure. That is the problem that no one has been able to solve.

Personally created folder ~/Libronix DLS/VocabularyLists then copied a couple vocabulary lists from http://www.logos.com/training/vocabularylists (changing file name to *.lbxvl by removing .xml addition from download using Safari), followed by Import All command using Logos 4.6 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 that now has a couple new items in the File menu:
Thankful still have a working Libronix 3.0g installation (on Windows 7) so can show folder names within Libronix DLS folder:
- Annotations
- BibleReadingPlans
- Collections
- CustomToolbars
- GraphicalQueries
- ResourceAssociations
- ResourceMarkup
- SentenceDiagrams
- Timelines
- VerseLists
- VocabularyLists
- WordLists
- Workspaces
Also learned Import Word Lists command in Logos 4.6 on Mac can import *.lbxvl (vocabulary list) files in folder ~/Libronix DLS/VocabularyLists (copied some lists from http://www.logos.com/training/vocabularylists then changed file name). Note: the folder "Libronix DLS" has one space between Libronix and DLS while folder VocabularyLists has no spaces. Logos 4.6 only looks for one spelling of these folders; variants do not work and the Libronix DLS folder must be in your user's folder /Users/<username> that has a shortcut expression of ~
To see .xml addition to a file name, can change Finder Preferences:

Download the desired list(s) from http://www.logos.com/training/vocabularylists which will then have an extra .xml extension.
Select the list in the Finder and type Cmd-i
In the Info dialog, remove the .xml in the Name and Extension field
Answer "Yes" when the OS asks if you really want to do this.
If that doesn't get the lists for you, let us know. It can be done—thanks to fgh for supplying the one step I had missed
Now, you can follow the other instructions in this thread

Thanks for all the help.
I think it was the xml extension that was cuasing the problems.

When I don't the word lists for Kairos, there is not any .xml extension. I checked preferences in finder to make sure that I am seeing them. Is there something else that I am missing?

On the Mac it must be in your Home folder, not the documents folder. That's the folder with your user name.
Have made the same mistake myself [8-|]

what folder does the .lbxvl go in for win7 logos 5? is there anything else that should go with the .lbxvl file?

The .lbxvl files are for Libronix DLS 3 (an obsolete version of the software).
For Logos 6, we recommend joining the "Introductory Grammar Vocabulary Lists" Faithlife group (https://faithlife.com/introductory-grammar-vocabulary-lists/) instead; then you can download Logos 6 word lists from the group web page or by using the Groups Tools inside Logos 6 itself.

Trae, welcome to the Logos forums!
Bradley is right: if your intention is to get the old Libronix vocabulary lists, it's much better to get them through the Faithlife group. I see you joined https://faithlife.com/word-lists-for-flashcards/activity - go to the documents tab there or to https://documents.logos.com/groups/3945419/documents and get a copy of those you want. There are additional list shared, too.
That said, for reference sake - and with thanks to fellow MVP Fr Devin Roza - how to create an import folder: Go to your "Documents" or "My Documents" folder in Windows. Create a subfolder called "Libronix DLS". Notice the space. Then, inside the folder "Libronix DLS", create a subfolder called "VocabularyLists". Notice there is no space. That's where the .lbxvl files need to be placed.
Again, these days it's much more efficient and secure to use the shared documents from the Faithlife group - they will likely be more current, possibly some typos have been weeded out. People will probably contribute more documents, or documents with audio etc.
Have joy in the Lord!
