If you want to install the word lists from Libronix v3 into Logos v4.6, Logos includes a tool that you can type into the command line: "Import Word Lists", which will import them from Libronix. In my case I do not have Libronix installed and do not want to install it. Luckily it is possible to import these files without installing Libronix.

I haven't found this clearly explained anywhere else (maybe I didn't look well enough), so I just thought I would post the steps here in case anyone else wants to do the same and couldn't figure out how.

  1. Download the word lists you are interested in from http://www.logos.com/training/vocabularylists
  2. Go to your "Documents" or "My Documents" folder in Windows. Create a subfolder called "Libronix DLS". Notice the space. Then, inside the folder "Libronix DLS", create a subfolder called "VocabularyLists". Notice there is no space.
  3. Copy the word lists files you downloaded into the "VocabularyLists" folder.
  4. Type the command "Import Word Lists" into the Logos 4.6 command line and hit Enter. Logos will import the vocabulary lists.
  5. You can then delete the "Libronix DLS" folder if you like to keep your "Documents" folder clean.

BTW, a similar process can be used to import Sentence Diagrams. Instead of "VocabularyLists" the folder is named "SentenceDiagrams". The command is "Import Sentence Diagrams". There are more details about that process here: http://wiki.logos.com/Loading_Logos_3_Sentence_Diagrams_into_Logos_4

    Thank You! This works beautifully.

I wish I could specify the font in the card view (re: the other post you made about accents).

Wow. This worked, even on Logos 5 in Windows 8. Just a question though. Is it possible to associate the audio for the lemma too?

Using Logos 5, and I must be missing something... I have a bunch of Vocab Lists (with the .lbxvl extension) from earlier Logos versions. I followed the steps at the top of this page. As far as I can see, nothing happened when I ran the "Import Word Lists" command.

Or am I missing where to open the lists? I look under Documents > Word Lists, but nothing is listed.

    Thanks for any help.

I just tested it again using Logos 5 and it worked fine.

Make sure you created the two folders under the official Windows "My Documents" folder and not the "Documents" or some other confusingly similar folder?? [^o)]

In case you're not sure... under your "My Documents" folder there should be a folder called "Logos Log Files" that you won't be able to delete or relocate for long, no matter how hard you try.... [:)]

@Fr Devin Roza: Thanks. You helped me realize what's going on. I have my C: drive which is a SSD that is mainly for booting. I have all my data on the D: hard drive. I copied everything over to the C: drive, and it works.

I was able to import the word lists, but I first tried the Import All Tool, but that crashed Logos 5 the two times I tried it.

It would be useful to upload the crash logs, but do this in a new thread with Crash: as the first part of the title.

I have made several poor attempts at creating lists. I would like to delete several I have created. I can't find out how to do that. Can you help? Thanks!

I would like to delete several I have created. I can't find out how to do that.

Are you trying to delete Logos 5 Word Lists?

If so you can do this from the Documents menu as shown below:

Right-click on the Word List and select "Delete" from the popup menu
