Has anyone had a chance to try the new Live Survey feature? What worked well? What could be improved? Any other feedback?
Thanks!
Honestly, we'll never use that feature. I would much rather have seen font enhancement features like what is available for lyrics on Content Slides and not just drop shadow, even though that helps quite a bit. Sorry, we just don't use signals or Live Surveys.
I wish there was a way to know how many people are logged in and following our presentation before i put up a survey. It shows the count so it doesn't look good if only 2 people reply. lol. Can there be an option to turn off the count and only show the charts?
We would love to use this but we don't have stable and reliable signals yet. We have not had consistent results.

We have implemented an on-air status bar in the latest release. It is currently only available for the Windows client, support for Mac coming next week.
The on-air status bar shows any controlling remotes (bottom left) as well as a follower count (bottom right).
Thanks for the feedback regarding showing the result totals.
This looks great! Nice feature.
I am hoping this Sunday people won't be coming to me asking how come the signals all disappear during the service and asking how to refresh. I see they are connected, but the signals disappear or stop feeding as the slides change. I could help troubleshoot if I knew the IP ports that need to be open to avoid restricting updating Or maybe even applying a QoS rule for the traffic so there is no conflict.

The signals should not disappear until you take action on them. Even then you should be able to select the signals icon at the bottom of your reading view to reveal the signal. Are you using iOS or Android?
Hi Scott, thank you for replying.
Let me explain our use of Proclaim. Our admin creates slides with PowerPoint and imports them and the signals are created as she does. We then have two services on Sunday morning at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. The Proclaim operator takes the presentation "Off Air" changes the start time, and then goes back on air between services. Our people have multiple device types and platforms, everything on android and iOS. They use Faithlife and Logos apps.
Our issues show on all types, although I have not had the opportunity to check if the issues are present on a 4G connection. When the presentation starts, there is one signal from the announcement PowerPoint slides. When the first of the PowerPoint sermon slides are presented, all the signals associated with the PowerPoints show up all at once and in replicated form; sometimes as many as 5 sets of signals. Then they stop "popping-up" as the slides change. The signals are still listed, in replicated form, under the list of Presentations in settings and the list shows that the Presentation is still being followed. Exiting and forcing close of the app, then reentering the app, connects to the presentation, but no signals are available at the bottom of the page; not even to let the user associate their app with the current place in the sermon. This is the same for users that load their app after the Powerpoint signals have been dumped into the app. Is this an issue with PowerPoints? with refresh? Blocked ports? I am willing to assist in troubleshooting.
thanks,
Dave

The signal replication was an issue w/ our service which we published a fix for earlier this week. I will investigate the disappearing signal icon (in the mobile app). Thanks for the feedback.
I'm able to reproduce this issue (missing signals in mobile app) and will be following up w/ one of our mobile app developers.
Thank you! <><
We planned to go live with Surveys this morning but signals are not working at the moment. It's an awesome feature but I wont want to put up an interactive survey and nobody can connect to the signals.
What is the specific problem you're experiencing?
We are unable to connect to signals... the option to follow randomly pops up. Also I am unable to control the presentation via the mobile app, i get the error: "request failed"
I am on a private LTE network, not the church WiFi and im currently getting 9mbps.
I initially had difficulty connecting with Remote this morning at about 7:35am PST.
Remote is connected now and only shows one instance of presentation running and available for control.
We had to switch between presentation machines during first service to update primary at about 9:55am (operator had skipped update). this involved freezing screen, going off air on primary, going on air on secondary machine, unfreezing screen, updating primary machine, then reversing the process to return to primary machine.
After this process, presentation shows on all following devices, but signals are not present. and only the first signal from the powerpoint annoucement slide is in the list. Also, the signal from the announcements (only one) is duplicated. All this may be due to our issues with powerpoint slides dumping in all the signals at once.
This is my first observation this morning.
i will follow-up with more at our second service at 11am.
Second service we noticed there were no signals in the powerpoint slides. We had assumed they were there from the import. I quickly added them on the fly and had no further issues. All signals showed when they should and duplicated signals were not present. It was actually very cool with everything working. Next we will be implementing the Survey slide.
Thank you for your hard work and attention to our issues. <><
LOGOS/Proclaim crashed for us today at 1030. Was there a server problem? What happened?

On Tuesday we will be shipping updates for both Proclaim and our servers that address many of the signal related issues. Thank you for your detailed problem descriptions they were very valuable in tracking down the issues.
We did have some server problems during that time but it should not have caused the client to crash. Can you provide any more information about what happened?
Around 10:30 ish Eastern, I couldn't get my Droid Pad (another user in another forum thread posted the same problem with his Apple Pad), to sign in. So, I rebooted my pad, rebooted Proclaim and still could not login to the server. While the main PC worked and the congregation didn't realize what happened, I had to scramble. Proclaim never did let my pad login. It tried, but never did. So, I had to go back to my paper notes and have someone else change the slides from the main computer.
The problem is that my notes were primarily on Proclaim - which would not come up on my pad. I couldn't login.
God worked, and the service was awesome.
In hindsight.... maybe Proclaim should crash more often.... HHMMMM
Thank you for your response.
I hope that we dont' have a repeat tonight of this mornings challenges; then again, it might be the best thing.
Jake
Is it me or is it a little strange that after a survey is presented someone who missed it can still access it via the Logos Bible app, see the question but not see what the choices are. The question is there and A B C D but if you missed the on screen survey you have no idea what you are voting for.
Is there a work around for this?
Yes, this is a known issue to our developers. They are working on improvements that should resolve that issue.
I'm considering using this in the next week or so and I think it's great you can see how many people are following/connected the service. Is it possible to see how many "followed" the service after the fact? Thanks!
The latest version of the Bible app will show the selected answer text when you have selected an answer.
No, the follower count reflects a real-time count that is not stored anywhere.
Thanks. Just wanted to check.
May be asking a little much but it would be awesome if we could get the follower count in the mobile app! [:D]
If the follower count is low I don't run any surveys as I don't want it to show only 2 people voted. An option to do a percentage instead of exact number would be cool.

This is planned for future release. Thanks for the feedback!
