Where are the Korean Bibles?
I love Logos dearly, but since day one, one problem has been sticking out like a sore thumb for me.
There is no Korean Bible!!!
When I found no Korean Bible in the Logos website, I looked through the forums and found out that the New Korean Revised Version (NKRV) had been released, but was subsequently removed because numerous problems were found with it. This was in 2011, and the Korean Bible never reappeared on the website.
I find this to be a serious flaw, considering the fact that there are many Korean seminarians using Logos (like me). There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of Korean Logos users out there.
I found out that Accordance has one, and so does Bibleworks... I don't have either of these, and I've had to resort to using a Bible website or freeware for my Korean Bible needs. Needless to say, I can't enjoy the numerous benefits that come with having Logos when I'm doing that.
I often preach in Korean, and I think I speak for all of the Korean Logos users when I say we would really, really appreciate Korean Bibles!
That said, please consider adding these two Korean bibles:
개역개정판 (New Korean Revised Version) – 1998
개역한글판 (Korean Revised Version) – 1938
These two are the versions used by 95+ percent of Korean Christians. A lot of people will use either but many prefer one over the other, so it would be great if you could include both.
If you need help getting these Bibles on Logos, I would offer it for free in a heartbeat.

Yes, it's very uncomfortable to use Logos without Korean bible.
That's why many Korean users hesitate to purchase LOGOS.

Korean Bibles: [Y][Y][Y]
Even if Logos expresses a North American mission orientation, Korean shouldn't be ignored. Or Chinese as well. (Or our family, Japanese).

Quite disappointed about lack of Japanese language Bibles. At least two Chinese Bibles are published and a third is in the pipeline. If Logos can handle Chinese they should be able to do Korean & Japanese. Asia should not be ignored.

It's a real shame... Maybe they are in need of competent native Korean/Japanese staff. As I've mentioned above, I'd be more than willing to help out for free and I'm sure there are some Korean and Japanese people in WA who'd be more than willing to help out, as long as Logos gets more proactive in dealing with this issue.

That's not what this forum (or the e-mail address) is for. It's just for helping them to assess interest.
Besides, they don't usually have any answer to give until the book is put on prepub, and then that's their answer. A few rare times we've been told things like 'a competitor has exclusive rights for the next few years, so we can't get it at this time', and a few rare times an employee happens to be so excited about a new release that he wants to share the news with everyone else who's wished for it, but those are the exceptions. They prefer working on getting the books, rather than writing answers that won't tell us much anyway.

Not sure what you mean? Most of the features would be available if you tagged it properly.
And if you're talking about morphological tagging and reverse interlinears, forget about it. It won't happen for at least 5-10 years, probably much more. I don't have it in any of my Swedish Bibles, not do the Germans or the French, or even the Spanish speakers, I believe. In fact, most of the American and all of the British Bibles still miss RI's, and lots of them are still missing morphological tagging as well. So Korean is bound to be very far down their list.
The best things you could do would be to a) get as many Koreans as possible to give a [Y] here, and/or e-email the address above, so that Logos sees there's a lot of interest, and b) make a PB to use in the mean time (remember you can only share it if it's out of copyright, or you get permission from the copyright holder).

I think I'll take fgh's suggestion and build a couple Japanese PBs. I searched the internet, and found a site with downloadable public domain text files (Kougo and Bungo). If anyone has access to text files on others (even if not public doman but personal use), I can pull those into PBs.
I've not done non-english PBs so I'll have to search out the threads on that.
Being the crazy lady that I am, I think I'll inter-leave the english under the japanese (I'm still smarting over the missing Libronix Japanese/English interlinear). Maybe have versions that include YLT, Darby, AV, and NET.
In my case, the problem's not too difficult since I already have the parsers and html writers that can load into a MS docx. This will be fun. Sort of.

We have previously had both Korean and Japanese Bibles; (see also: http://www.bible.or.
jp/purchase/newbible/greece.html) but I don't know the present status. I do know we hope to improve other-language support in the coming year, and I'll check in on the status of these texts.

Wow.. The link is showing a full-fledged Japanese version, with a Japanese interlinear Bible. That's amazing.

Wow! would be the understatement! I notice they already put the Japanese interlinear with the little Logos4/5 icon on the site in Japan. When I talked to the JBS, sourcing it to here was a pain. Life would sure be good if happily available on Logos.com.

I have the same concern about the Korean Bible on logos. Since I realized this issue, I’ve searched and tried to solve it in many ways. Fortunately, I’ve finally completed making the NKRV 4th (개역개정 4판) for logos with PBB. I believe it works functionally perfect like other English versions in logos as long as it is linked with another Bible.
However, I will surely buy the official version if they provide someday. I hope to use logos anywhere, not only with a laptop, but also with an iphone, ipad, etc. But the mobile apps for logos do not support personal books at this moment. A few days ago, therefore, I bought a windows 8 tablet (thinkpad tablet 2) to solve this matter. I thought it was a possible solution, but sadly, it works toooooooo slowly. I can say it must be a great mobile device unless you expect to use logos with it. Its CPU is atom z2760. I am sure that surface pro or ativ pro will have no problem with their i5 processor. But they are a little bit heaver and more expensive. If logos provide a Korean bible officially or support PB for mobile apps, I don’t need to agonize over it any longer.
By the way, if anyone needs to know my solution in detail, just email me to waoma@naver.com (Korean language is preferred) I will gladly help you until logos will officially have it.

I could create a Korean personal book if it would help. I have a Korean version already in the correct format. I don't know what version it is, but here's John 3:16: "하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 저를 믿는 자마다 멸망치 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라". If you can tell me what version that is, and give me a link to a bilingual list Bible book names in English/Korean, I'll create the Personal Book.

I would like to see a Bible Language Pack. The Polish Bible is not in Logos either, though we have the Slovak Bible. Then there are different versions of the Bible in particular languages. Perhaps Logos could think of offering on Pre pub or community pricing a pack of Bibles in various languages. Many people now speak or read English and may be interested in the Logos software if there were access to Bibles in their particular language as that is the Bible that would be used in churches.

[Y] In favour of pre-pub for individual versions, or individual languages (in a pack). I don't think multi-lang packs will fly unless the languages are very closely related.

I need two Korean Bibles - 개역개정(NKR: New Koean Revised Version), 새번역(RNKS: Revised New Korean Standard Version) from Korean Bible Society.
And the translation 개역개정(NKR: New Koean Revised Version) is not same the translation 개역한글(KRV: Korean Revised Version).
My partner purchased 개역개정(NKR: New Koean Revised Version) from Logosbible.com. But now I can't...
So I try to get the two Korean Bibles...
