Reformed Platinum $460 (dynamically for me)
Reformed Gold
Can Logos make a chart of what books are new to us? like the regular package base?
Unfortunately, we are still working on integrating these new base packages into the dynamic comparison chart in order to show how these compare to what you have in your library already, what's new, etc...
We wanted to get these Reformed base packages to everyone as soon as possible. But we are working on it and it will be up soon. Thanks you for your patience.
Thanks Chris for the quick reply in the middle of the night [B]
You got it!
I can tell you there are 400 new volumes in the Reformed Platinum that are not in the generic Logos base packages, including essential Reformed works like Bavinck, Muller's Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics, Select Works of Geerhardus Vos' and the first English translation of Vos' Reformed Dogmatics, just to name a few.
saw them!
interesting..
the timing of the release made it kinda hard for some people who also purchase books through March Madness. (me.lol)
but I will purchase the platinum soon (^_-)
Yeah. Well, you'll have a couple weeks to get in on the 15% discount.

WHOOOA... what's going on here?
the price of Platinum just jumped to $540 from $460. I know you guys could do this but..this is sneaky and driving me away.
Not liking this..
Sorry about that. We just changed had to change the way we are applying the discount. Now you just need to use the coupon code REFORMEDBP and you should get the same discount you saw earlier. Let me know if you have any other concerns. Thanks for the comment.
Hi.
Just curious ... I though that Platinum was higher than Gold, or that Gold would be a subset of Platinum but my dynamic prices say not .. Platinum $435, and Gold $1,317 [:|]
I have Portfolio plus some.
This may be what you mean by 'still working on' though ...
why are you guys working so late to do this? just wondering?
or this is a regular shift for reformed sale group? [:O]
Yes, we're just refreshing the pricing. Everything should appear correctly shortly. Sorry for the confusion.
The Reformed base packages are being released Starter through Platinum. The levels will be priced the same as their Logos 5 counterparts. Dynamic pricing, and academic discounts apply. And for a limited time, we will offer a 15% introductory discount (in addition to dynamic pricing if you already own resources included).
just purchased the platinum.
I hope I'm gettin ALL the resources...
why am I saying this? because Logos has a habit of removing resources from the original package.
so I took screen shots just in case .. [H]
and I'll call CS in the morning to get my academic price adjustment.
thanks Chris
We are working late because there was an unexpected bug on the Reformed landing page that we need to work through. Working hard for you!
We had several people testing them before they went live, so everything should be good to go. But if you have any concerns, I will get on it right away. Thanks for your support! Semper Reformanda BABY!
This is an exciting development! I've ordered Platinum. It certainly seems a better fit than the standard Platinum package, and it's one I'll probably be recommending to others from now on.
Comparison charts are crucial though, as I'm sure you're aware. A customised comparison chart is obviously important (i.e. show me what's new to me), but also a comparison chart with the standard base packages, so you a new purchaser could see what they would miss out on.
I wonder also if for marketing purposes it would be useful to have an option for people to purchase two base packages (i.e. Standard Platinum + Reformed Platinum). Long-time users know that dynamic pricing means they could log back in after purchasing the first, to purchase the second, but new purchasers wouldn't know that. Explaining that you can add the extra resources from Standard to your Reformed package for an extra $1,000 (or whatever dynamic pricing would give) could be helpful for some.
everything should be good to go.
Gold is still showing up without dynamic pricing.
Thanks, Mark. It should be good to go now.
Yes, the comparison chart is crucial. We will get it up ASAP. At this point, our developers just didn't have the capacity to integrate it and we wanted to get these new base packages to you all right away. Coming soon!
And March Madness goes for a couple of more weeks. Timing is not great from Logos. One purchasing opportunity is going to cannibalize the other. Timing is everything if you want to maximize sales .. but what is done is done. Nice to see some new packages all the same.
out of 135 resources that I've just downloaded from Platinum.. I think 90% came from "community pricing" books... [:S] [:(]
still thankful though ..

I noticed a lot of public domain works, but you'd kind of expect that wouldn't you? I mean could you do a Reformed base package and not include the following:
I think for those buying the new Reformed base package from scratch, it's a good package. For those of us who already have a standard base package, you're right - most of what we're getting is PD stuff.
By the way I am not convinced that it was a good idea to remove NAC. That's an excellent set that adds real value to reformed users. BDAG is a major loss, too, as is Louw-Nida and the Themelios journals.
Mark, from your massive library... how much additional resources did you gain? and what was your dynamic $?

I agree it's no surprise there is a lot of public domain and hence Community Pricing titles. I won't be jumping on board till I can see what I will actually add to my library. Logos may have wanted to get these out quickly to us but without a dynamic comparison chart I'd recommend holding off jumping on board till you see what you are actually going to add to your library. I'll most likely jump on board, but want to know what it is I'm paying for first.
Christian,
If you have the comparison chart between the standard bundles and the new Reformed bundles in Excel format, can you please post it here while the developers work on the dynamic charts on the website?
thx
Peter
buy now, cancel later.
Logos has a bad habit of removing resources few days after its released.
Late adopter usually gets less resources and have to pay the same.
I'm being quoted $170.74 for Reformed Platinum (that's with the 15% deducted). I don't yet know which resources that will get me because I want it added to an existing payment plan, so I'll have to wait for my sales rep on the West Coast to get out of bed!
It will certainly be interesting to see what I end up with. I buy almost all CPs that are relevant for Reformed theology, and I also got the megapack last Christmas that contains lots of excellent Reformed PD works.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into that. I definitely agree that we really really need the comparison chart. I tried to push it up in priority, but there was just too many other things going on.
Great work on this Christian and fellow team members!! The packages look very good. Cheers.
Thanks Chelsea! We appreciate you saying so!
hey Christian,
how do I get the academic discount? do I call Customer Service to purchase the Platinum so they can apply the discount?
This does seem a great set. Some overlap with the Mega-bundle but complements it quite well.
Interesting to see at least one collection still in CP:
Classic Studies on the Scottish Church History (11 vols.)
I assume this means Logos are going to just going to put it into production anyway?
I purchased the Reformed Platinum which includes the Crossway Classical/Classic Commentaries (26 vols). But my remaining commentary on Galatians did not download and is showing as still needing to purchased.
So there is an error there that needs to be looked into.
Thanks.
I can't keep up with all the Logos news on the forum like I would like to, so I missed that this was in the making. I just wanted to comment that it is very exciting to me to see Logos developing packages specific to various traditions and theologies. I think this is a great way to get more resources you will use, instead of buying a package with books you may never open. I'm not reformed in the strictest sense, but as a protestant I will definitely be purchasing some of these reformed packages in the future. I'm broke for now, mainly because Logos keeps producing resources that I can't bring myself to live with out. [;)]
The academic discount should be working. If you have any trouble with your purchase, customer service will be more than happy to help you out. Let me know if this is still a problem for you and I will personally look into it.
Yes, Stephen, the license is included with the base package and we are expediting the production. A couple resources, marked with an asterisk on the product pages, will become available to purchasers as free downloads as soon as they are ready.
The resources still in production which we are expediting are:
Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible (3 vols.) *
Classic Studies on the Scottish Church History (11 vols.) *
Classic Studies on John Knox (15 vols.) *
Select Works of Geerhardus Vos (14 vols.)*
Safe to cancel any of them we already have as pre-pubs then? Eg Poole, Works of Charles Hodge?
Yes, Stephen. If they are in a Reformed base package you've purchased, then you already have the license and will receive it as a free update when they are finished (which, for several, should be in a matter of weeks, but we will see).
And thanks for pointing out that The Works of Charles Hodge (29 vols.) is also in expedited production. A lot of goodies coming for Reformed base package customers!
Stephen McCracken, thanks for pointing that out. I will look into it right away.
Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible (3 vols.) * Classic Studies on the Scottish Church History (11 vols.) * Classic Studies on John Knox (15 vols.) * Select Works of Geerhardus Vos (14 vols.)*
Thanks for pointing out these resources that are still in CP/Prepub. I had orders in for all of them, which totalled $315. And I just bought Platinum for $170! So I'm $145 better off, plus I'll hopefully have some additional resources to enjoy! That's got to be my best value purchase ever!
I agree Mark, especially about NAC. It means there aren't any modern expository commentaries in the packages (I don't really count the exegetical summaries as full commentaries). And I believe Reformed people still use lexicons. Themelios is a reformed publication too, so it's weird it was removed.
I guess they had to meet a price point, so some good things got eliminated.
does the price I reflected online already with the academic discount or do I have to call CS to get it adjusted? Because normally a "package" doesn't reflect with the academic.
it seems to me the price is still a bit high for the resources I already own..
Disciple of Christ,
One way to solve this is just give sales a call. They can easily generate a list of all the resources you'll get and send it to you right away. They'd love to help you out with that.
I will add a call-out to the product pages to make that clear.

Stephen, the issue with the Galatians Crossway Commentary has been resolved. Thanks for your patience.

You forgot one.
The Works of Charles Hodge
It is now a Pre-Pub. I will be happy to cancel it when I buy the Reformed Platinum package.
By the way I am not convinced that it was a good idea to remove NAC.
Don't quote me but this may be the signal that all modern commentaries will be removed from Logos' next offerings. Most have already been stripped out.
I'm glad you reformed people are happy with a package of e-sword style commentary material, but that's what it looks like to me. As I said, the next round of Logos base packages of any stripe are likely to be full of the CP offered PD stuff. What a shame!
If the priority of such a comparison feature is not increased many will put off purchasing this package until after the introductory pricing expires. I would hate to see them lose out on a 15% savings. Meanwhile, I will be calling my sales rep for a list of "new to me" titles.
