6.0b Beta 1 (6.0.2.0017) is available for testing.
Users who are running Logos 6 can update automatically by entering the set update channel to beta command. Users running 5.2b cannot update to the 6.0b Beta at this time.

The beta downloaded but when it starts to install it says that installation failed.
Agh the joys of being a Beta Tester :-)
Hi Scott
Have a look through the post at the top of the Forum 'Ten Tips for Beta Testers'
It will give you some guidance on reporting problems.
Although your logs will show which OS you are using and probably the type of machine it is helpful to include these in the initial message so that those with the relevant equipment/expertise can focus in on your problem and offer you some help.
Are there plans to address the event search problem(s) in this thread in 6.0b?
Will 6.0b have an updated version of Chromium over 6.0a? Wondering if we will see further improvements in font display - 6.0a was a nice improvement.
And has anyone at Logos/Faithlife seen the problems with reading plans reported here - any chance this is being addressed?
Thanks!
I am running windows 8.1 64 bit on a Dell with a 3Ghz dual core Pentium with 4 GB of ram and 512 MB Video card.

Scott,
I'm not sure why you are posting here on the beta forum. You seem to be running the release version (6.0a). This is the 6.0b beta forum.
If this isn't a beta issue, please re-post on the regular Logos 6 forum.
We'd want to know what you were trying to do when this error occurred.
We'd want to see full log files.

He was trying to download the beta.
It would be best to create your own thread and explain the issue clearly.
Posting in the beta because the issue is with downloading 6.0b Beta 1. The install fails every time and the error log above is for this issue.

All I can discern from the above (and that isn't much) is that the installer is not finding a file it thinks should be somewhere on one of Logos' servers. I wonder if your antivirus program might be blocking access? Turning off your AV software while attempting to install would eliminate that possibility. Otherwise someone from Logos will probably have to give you help.
You should normally have some other log files that might help. An Installer log file and a Setup log file are normally generated. Do you have these?
Sorry. I totally missed Scott's original posting. [:$]
The error log is partial and relates to a sync error. Please upload the compressed log files folder after an attempt to install
