    Hi Bob

I have never had the set up to use the confidence monitor successfully but if I were to I think I would prefer Style B.

It seems to me that the hint for the next slide is a bit like the converse of the rule for changing slides in songs when one verse quickly follows another.

I always tell operators to change the slide three words from the end of the verse on the grounds that people by that time will already have read to the end of the line mentally and need to process the words from the next verse.

So with the confidence monitor - you need to have processed the first section of the next slide in advance of seeing it - a thumbnail of a graphic or the first one or two lines of text - the first point (or two) of a list etc.

Special cases including actually being able to watch videos that are showing. I doubt that you need a forward prompt in that situation. There is always a mental gap as minds refocus on the new information delivery mode.

We definitely don't want motion backgrounds etc playing.

The animations for 'On Screen Bible' would be unnecessary but not too intrusive.

    Hope this helps

Happy New Year and may you move through it with 'confidence'.

    Hi Bob,

Personally, I vote for layout A.  We used to use this format in the old days of powerpoint and it works well.

The other options use too much screen space, though I can imagine occasions when Layout B would be useful.

As a singer, one wants to be sure that one is prepared for what is next and with various people rearranging slides, this can be a problem.

  • I like style B but there needs to be space to add custom messages. For example, 'Keep going, the pastor isn't here yet'.

Thanks for the feedback David. We're keeping that in mind. Please see this post https://community.logos.com/forums/t/121241.aspx

Happy New Year Proclaim team :-)

Our church uses the current Confidence monitor layout with a good degree of success. The simple text layout with high contrast black and white works very well. We'd like to continue to see that option, and layout A or B (in high contrast) would work best given the limited screen real estate plus nature of our rear-projected confidence monitor.

I would second the suggestion of having the ability to project a message specific to the confidence monitor. The ability to inform the worship team or pastor of time constraints, a 'keep going' note, etc would be helpful.

The other thing we'd love to see is Slide/sermon notes projected to the confidence monitor. If we import a PowerPoint presentation, having more content to the confidence monitor would help per slide (I believe it doesn't separate notes per slide at this time). For native proclaim content, having separate notes is better than the entire content of a slide.

Having multimedia (animated slides, videos etc) on confidence monitors wouldn't help us in our setup.

Keep up the wonderful work :-)

I also like B - and the idea of a confidence monitor only message

I would like to see the option to make things like the clock bigger, add timer functionality and have a discrete confidence monitor only message pane

Hi.  I am in favor of option A...I'd like the words as big as possible and for me, personally, I don't need the whole next slide.  However, what would be helpful would be to show the next line coming up, even in a blank "instrumental" slide.

    Thanks for a great product!

A confidence screen only countdown timer would be fantastic. I am currently testing out new presentation software for our church and a countdown timer for the pastor is one of our requirements for the software solution. I would love to implement Proclaim but the lack of this feature is the only thing stopping me!

Just browsing thru some old posts...

Has the above bolded suggestion been taken into consideration? Would love to have this feature

    Thanks!

For songs, the layout is fine (except maybe a larger clock).

I have not been able to use the CM functionality however, because we often use PPT slides, with and without animation.

It would be great if for each slide, or for each group of slides (all slides in a song, slideshow, sermon, etc.), there were an option to mirror the main display, perhaps inset (slightly reduced size) with room at bottom (rather than overlay) for next slide info, notes, or an alert message to the speaker.

I have been using a remote desktop app on an iPad in the pulpit, mirroring the main display, just as a viewing device so the pastor could drive the imported ppt slideshow with animations (driven by ppt), using wireless remote clicker. This solution has worked very well - he can see the exact same thing the congretion sees.  If this "live view" CM functionality were available directly in Proclaim (and in the Proclaim Remote app), with the added CM features of a clock, messages, next slide, etc. that would be ideal.

Sorry my reply is so late on an older thread. I don't know if you guys are still looking at feedback for this, but in case you are...

    • I love syle A - I think it maximizes use of limited screen space.
    • Showing actual PowerPoint slides (as well as announcements etc.) on the confidence monitor feed would drastically simplify our setup (currently we have to use an external video switch to swap between feeds for our confidence display.
    • For songs, showing an actual blank slide (instead of the song title) on blank slides (for instrumentals and such) would be so much more useful.
    • Having the first line of the next slide on blank slides would help a ton as well; we get them on other slides, why not blank ones?
    • A countdown clock for confidence monitor only would be wonderful.
    • Confidence monitor-only text messages (scrolling or overlay or whatever) would be amazing as well.

Again, I'm sorry if this feedback isn't in time to be useful. I'd be glad to create some screenshot mock-ups as well to clarify if you'd like.

C for me! We've been using ProPresenter with its confidence monitor and recently made the switch to Proclaim. The lack of this feature in Proclaim has made the transition a rough one :) Displaying the current and next verse simultaneously is important to us.

In a perfect world we'd have have the option to show the order of the song listed above the verses or even below them!

We are still interested in your feedback! I'll note these in our development case for the confidence monitor.

Kim, we do currently have a confidence output. You can find out how to configure it here. This thread is for future improvements. I've noted your feedback as well, thank you!

I have an interest in using iPads for our vocalists who may have trouble seeing the back screen. Using the proclaim app there is an option to "follow" the presentation and an option for the confidence monitor view. This is awesome, However, using this method does not show the first line of the next slide... The "confidence" part.

This will be part of the intended changes for the Remote in the future. Very good point.

We are trying to setup a confidence monitor for the choir and are running into issues; placement, size, no font/color options.  An interesting issue that has come up is in relation to color.  We are using a 85" 4K and the white is too hot for the eyes of the aging choir.  It seems that they prefer yellow on black saying that, "it doesn't glare".  I would also like to be able to edit the text the same way we do on the slides.
