Bug: CMD+F Search in Chinese Bible
Hi Logos,
I encountered this for a while, just unable to capture a repeatable case. Decided to spend some time this morning to catch this bug. I am running Logos for Mac 7.3.0.0041.
I am using “誇大” as an example for TCUV (the one with RVI - ZH-CUNPTRD) ... I can repeat the same problem with "夸大" in CUV (Simplified text - ZH-CUNPSMP), the following are steps that I have repeated a few times:
- Open TCUV and start from Gen 1:1
- CMD+F on the TCUV Panel and enter the Chinese words “誇大”
- Click on the Down arrow to do a Forward Search ... 17 times to go to the last verse in Revelation.
- Now Click on the Up arrow to do Previous Search ... you will be able to move to Jude 16
- It will get stuck there [:(]
- I give it a bit of help by going to the next “誇大” in Daniel 7:25
- Clicking Up arrow ... this time it skipped 2 verses and end up with “誇大” in Daniel 7:8
- After that I get more skips
- I also noticed that some times the Bible Reference in the Reference Box did not change to reflect the correct verse
- Hope you can catch this bug
Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
PS: I remember Bradley instructions the last time ... so, I have reindexed both these Bible.

Reindexing has nothing to do with this problem. Please don't run that command unless you're explicitly instructed to by a Faithlife developer (otherwise, it's probably just wasting your time).

Oops ... noted, I shall not run re-indexing again by myself.

Bradley,
So, is this a bug for these 2 Chinese Bible? Don't seem to have this problem with the 2 new Logos Public Domain Chinese Bible or other English Bibles that I am using. Just want to check that it is not a problem only on my machine. Thanks.

I can reproduce these problems and have filed a case.
