Crash Report
Logos 7 starts:
1) i've opened a Search within a specific Collection at a Tab.
2) At the same time i'm updating the formula in that Collection at another Tab (the formula is quite complicated), and adding/removing some columns on the preview window at the bottom,
it suddenly crashed. Now It crash everytime I try to open Logos 7. I have rebooted the computer. I am using Win 8.
I am attaching the log file from the Logos Logging Utility. 88404.Logos Log Files.zip
Thank you in anticipation.

Hey Peter! Checking out the logs it looks like the collection you were working with is trying to re-open when you start the software. Try starting the program while holding down the Ctrl key to get to a blank layout, detailed here under Step 1.
If the software loads fine, you'll likely need to delete and re-make the collection you were working on. If it continues crashing even in a blank layout, please post the updated logs so we can take a look at those.0 -
Thank you for the solution, but it keeps crashing. Pls find the attached log. 38087.Logos Log Files.zip

Any updates ? Is it a major bug or just a minor problem ?

Is it intentional that a collection rule would be:
06.1.註釋[當時意思], 07.1.註釋[今天意義]
or
03.聖經詮釋[字義], 05.背景[主要], 05.背景[次要], 05.背景[導論], 08.神學, 10.事奉, "05.背景[文獻] (Great Books of the Western World)" -"Lexham Glossary" -"Sproul" -"講道法" -"Hope for the Heart Series" -"title:(發音)" -"title:Latin"
?

BTW, you should report Logos 7 problems in the Logos 7 forum (we'll continue here for this issue).

A fix for this has shipped in 7.6 Beta 1. If you have a computer you can dedicate to beta testing, you should be able to install the beta, then fix/delete the collection causing the crash, and sync it back to your computer running 7.5 (which should then stop crashing).
We also plan to ship a fix in a 7.5 Service Release in the near future.

I've no idea what this mean e.g. 03.聖經詮釋[字義], 05.背景[主要], 05.背景[次要], 05.背景[導論], 08.神學, 10.事奉, "05.背景[文獻] (Great Books of the Western World)" -"Lexham Glossary" -"Sproul" -"講道法" -"Hope for the Heart Series" -"title:(發音)" -"title:Latin"
Perhaps you can explain what this rule is intended to do.

You could create a new Windows User account and install the beta there (you can use your existing resources folder and install using Method 3).

Thanks Dave [:D] , actually 03.聖經詮釋[字義], 05.背景[主要], 05.背景[次要], 05.背景[導論], 08.神學, 10.事奉 these are the book series/categories i want to include, but exclude Lexham Glossary, Sproul these books from them. Since i want to narrow down the result when using the Search function, but i want to make the search by once only.
E.g. i've 10 series of commentaries, i want to search the book of "James" from them, but i want to exclude the commentary author from "Sproul", then i make it like these: 10 series of commentaries - "Sproul"
thanks & regards,
Peter

Peter,
This should be fixed in 7.5 SR-1.

So you create a user Series called 10.series of commentaries which only contain the bible book of James? If so, it is more efficient to prefix the rule with series: e.g. series:10.事奉
But you don't have to create a Series because type:commentary subject:N.T.James will find commentaries on James. If you want to exclude Sproul then the rule becomes type:commentary subject:N.T.James -author:Sproul
