Biblical Places Maps Atlas
I’m new to Logos and just purchased Logos 8 platinum.
I’m having difficulty navigating the Atlas feature (Biblical Places Maps).
I’m thinking that there’s got to be a basic table of contents or something where I can browse the different maps that are available, but it’s not intuitive to me at all.
I’ve scoured all the training vidoes I could find and searched youtube. I can’t find anythign giving a tutorial on how to use the Atlas feature, and it would really help me to be able to figure this out.
All I can Figure out is that the arrows in the upper right of the panel take me to a new set of maps, and then I can see a few to choose from in that category. But I don’t know the order of the categories/sets, or the content or anything. It seems impossible to navigate.
The video for maps on the Logos website looks easy to navigate. But that’s for Logos 7, not 8. The maps feature in Logos 8 doesn‘t look anything like what’s i the Logos 7 video.

Hi Kevin
Welcome to Logos and to these forums.
Kevin G. Thompson said:I’m having difficulty navigating the Atlas feature (Biblical Places Maps).
The two things you mention - Atlas and "Biblical Places Maps" - are quite different with the Atlas Tool being the recommended way to access maps, etc (the Biblical Places Map resource was used by an earlier tool and still contains some very useful information)
If you open the Atlas Tool - available in the Tools menu - you will see something like this:
You can filter the Atlas - example below
and then clicking one of them gives information related to that event and where the place fits in
This should match more closely what you have seen in the videos as this didn't really change between Logos 7 & 8
Hope this helps - and please post back if you have further questions.
