Logos 8 Setup Bug: Failure installing on a new computer
I got this error when trying to download my Logos 8 Library on Setup on my new computer:
I hit Retry and it still failed to load. Yes, I know I can work around it by skipping the download and downloading later, but I'm reporting this as a bug to be fixed. People, even those with large libraries like me, ought to be able to install and download in one go, so they can leave it installing overnight.

That particular bug has been around since 8.4. For anyone curious about why it is happening, see https://community.logos.com/forums/p/181411/1049294.aspx#1049294
I agree that that the installer should gracefully fall back to something other than “Recommended” when that online service (to determine what your recommended resources would be) is unavailable.
I’d think most customers would want everything downloaded, and the installer shouldn’t even have to depend on that service being available until the user chose not to download everything. (There are plenty of posts from people asking how to download the rest of their library, when it could have more easily been done at installation.)
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I also found that I had to keep restarting Logos to get it to finally download everything. Each time I would select everything in my Library and click the Download All button (or whatever it's called), and it would only download a few GB at a time. I'd have to restart and do that all over again. I have a very large library, granted, over 25,000 resources, but nobody should have to keep restarting in order to download their entire Library if they have a huge hard disk and want all their resources available on their local drive.
