The Life of Jesus Christ and Biblical Revelations by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich.

It's a 4 volume set. Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich was blessed with vivid visions which spanned the whole of Jesus' lifetime on earth. Perhaps most notably, she received detailed visions of the passion, crucifixion and death of our Lord.

Of Jesus' agony in the garden, she recounts moments when Jesus suffered on account of those fallen away from the Church, for tepid communicants, and light minded priests. "I saw all those people, all those families with their descendants that had been separated from the Church, torn away from Jesus like entire pieces mangled and most painfully rent from His living flesh. Ah! He glanced at them so pitifully, He moaned so gently! He who, in order to unite to the body of His Church, to the body of His Bride, men so separated, so divided from one another, had given Himself in the Blessed Sacrament to be their Food, saw Himself in this, His Bride's body, torn and lacerated through the wicked fruit of the tree of disunion."

Also granted the gift of the stigmata, "Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich told of ‘the sorrowful passion of our Lord Jesus Christ’ and lived it in her body," Pope St. John Paul II declared in his homily at her beatification. He continued, saying "She found… strength in the Most Holy Eucharist…. Still today, she passes on to all the saving message: Through the wounds of Christ we have been saved (I Pt 2: 24)."

Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich sets forth the mystical significance of scriptural realities in vivid detail. The revelations given to her will lead you to a deeper understanding of the Gospels and Old Testament, illuminating the mysteries they contain, strengthening your devotion to the Savior, and inspiring you to imitate more closely the life of Christ.

Extending as far back as the creation of the world, the revelations include:

  • The fall of the Angels;
  • The sin of Adam;
  • Noah and the Flood;
  • Events in the lives of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. John the Baptist, St. Anne, and St. Mary Magdalen;
  • The birth, life, public ministry, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ;
  • and the founding of the Church by Jesus Christ.
