Repeatable Crash
I have a repeatable crash. These are the steps:
1. Do a Bible search (I'm using the NRSV)
2. Enter a verb from the drop down list. For example type "Run" (without Quotes) into the search box. Then select "To Run verb" from the dropdown list that appears.
3. After the search runs, select the "Analysis" view. The program then crashes immediately.

EDIT #1: I just remembered that this is on MacOS Ventura, so this might be the problem if Logos hasn't been updated for Ventura yet.
Edit #2: After remembering that I am on Ventura, it seems that any Bible search will cause a crash when switching to the Analysis view.

Nice catch! It crashes for me too - Mac/Verbum.

Hi Don, are you on Ventura?

Rick or Don,
Can either of you run the query again with perhaps another word, or somehow get back to analysis view and tell us if you have the list sorted via any of the column headers? I'm also curious what he other search modifiers are set to ( "match case"," . . All word forms", and the referencing matching setting).
I'm not on macOS 10.13, but I cannot replicate the behavior with the information provided thus far and I want to make sure my attempts at replicating the behavior are as close as I can make them at this time.

HI Thomas, first, I think we are both on the new version of MacOS that came out yesterday, Ventura, version 13.0. I am not sure about Rick, I am on an M1 (Apple Silicon) MacBook Pro. If I had to bet, I bet it's Ventura-related, which may be why you cannot duplicate it if you are not on that.
So I tried a few things - first, I typed Spoke in the box with NRSV, then picked verb 'to be spoken', results came up, I clicked Analysis, immediate exit/crash.
Then, I tried NRSV, and I just took a hint from the templates and typed 'Christ near Jesus'. Results came up, I clicked Analysis, immediate exit/crash.
So then, I tried the ESV. I typed 'run', picked the verb 'to run'. Results came up, I clicked Analysis, immediate exit/crash.
I cleared my logs, ran Verbum, did the first example Rick showed in post 1 (Run/to run), saw it crash, and here are the logs.
So I am not sure I can get to the Analysis tag, but I don't use the Analysis header (plus I have not played with the case-sensitive or match all forms settings yet), so I suspect my settings are default.

Hi Thomas,
It looks like Don answered the questions that you had.

I am sure that mine are default too. I was just exploring the different options when it crashed. I don’t think that I’ve ever used the analysis view. Definitely not in Logos 10.

I had Verbum 10 SR-1 freeze completely when replicating the sense:"to run" query.
7652.VerbumFreeze-Sense Search.zip
Search was set to "Narrow" and Match Case may have been set, but nothing else. The list was sorted by Greek lemma but the label was not visible above the column headers, in the area for "Drag a column...". It only became visible when I dragged another column to that location. It reflected a previous Analysis where I had sorted by that column.
I could not repeat that the freeze, though.

Just to throw it in there, I am also getting a hard crash on switching to "analysis" view after running a search. It doesn't seem to matter what is searched either. I am running the MacBook Pro M1 (2020) with Ventura as well.

Thanks, ya'll. I actually was able to chat with someone about this issue with Analysis View on macOS 13, and created an internal case based on it. I'll link to this thread as well.

Dave, what search type was this? Bible? Clause?

This crash occurs on macOS 13 Ventura with the grid used for Analysis view in search results and Word List documents. It will be fixed in 10.1 Beta 4.

Awesome thanks Lawrence!

Sorry, I'm late here. It was Bible and I have another thread giving more detail.

Thanks for following up on this! So is there a way to get this fixed in Logos 9? That's what I'm using (on a Mac) and am not in a position to upgrade at the moment.
Thanks!

There is not a service release (SR) available for Logos 9 yet but my understanding is that one will be released soon including this fix. I will make sure the team knows you're waiting for it.Rev. Fix said:So is there a way to get this fixed in Logos 9?
