How to Join and Leave the Mobile Beta
We welcome you to join our beta apps!
It's important to note that this is a beta-testing environment. The beta apps may not always be as reliable as the stable apps, so we advise you to not heavily-rely on beta apps when using our apps for work-related or school-related study. If an issue occurs that prevents you from using our apps, please consider leaving the beta apps (instructions below) until the issue is resolved, so that you can continue your work/study properly.
When using our beta apps, please post bug reports in this Logos Mobile Beta forum or within the app through the Help menu > Report a Problem. Please include the following information in your bug report:
- Description – How were you using the app when the problem occurred?
- Reproduction Steps - Please clearly explain how to reproduce the issue.
- App Info – Which app you are using (Logos Bible, Verbum, Faithlife Study Bible, Faithlife Ebooks or Biblia).
- Device Info – (e.g. Google Pixel 4a)
- App Version – (e.g. 23.0.1)
To join, type the corresponding link below into your device:

iOS
To leave:
For Android: Please select "Leave" from the App's Play Store page.
For iOS: Please re-install the app by going to the AppStore (links below):

So (I think) I'm already in the iOS beta group. Will we see a new beta drop in TestFlight in the near future, and until then no need to sign up again to join the upcoming beta?

If you've already joined previously, then you are in the beta group. There is not a new process or any new links to use to join or leave, I just wanted to create a post that clearly explained the beta process.
I've had several users reach out, so now we have a formal post to direct all users to [:)]

How about for the ones of us that the app says: "Tester Removed" What do we need to do?

To rejoin, click the corresponding link to the beta app you want to rejoin that I posted in my original post.
If that doesn't work, please make a separate forum post in this Logos Mobile Beta forum with OS details and a screenshot of what you are seeing, so that we can better assist you.

Has the VNext version been done away with? That is where I see the message that I have been removed.

Ah, yes it has! That was solely for the pre-launch of Logos 10 beta. We are still using the Testflight app, but not vNext. Click the corresponding link of the beta app you want to join from my original post above and it will prompt you to join the mobile beta. Make sure you click the link on your iPhone or iPad.

Do you need anymore beta testers at all for iOS?

Is the iOS Mobile Beta a "Public Beta" that any Logos user can join?
Due to my job, I should not be testing any future "Private Betas" of Logos. However, I do have the "Public Beta" of Logos running on a couple of machines since I'm still a Logos user and willing to report and bugs I find in the "Public Betas". I'd be willing to do the same for IOS Mobile only if it's a "Public Beta".
Thanks!

1. If I join the iOS Logos Bible Study Tools beta, then later decide to go back to the standard version, will I have to re-download all the books? I've currently got 14k titles downloaded on iphone and ipad ... and I like it that way. I sure don't want to have to repeat that process.
2. I have signed up for the Logos Pro, and see it on my desktop (which is not beta). Should I be able to access the AI Search etc on my non-beta (version 32.x) iphone and ipad apps?
Thanks

Not yet; from New Feature: Smart Search:

Yes - if you want to "drop" a version from beta 33 to stable 32 (for example) you would need to delete and reinstall the app which would require resources to be downloaded again.
And, running beta code, there is more risk of corruption which might require reinstallation anyway. It doesn't happen often but a risk to be aware of.
If you want to try the beta versions you could try using the Verbum app as opposed to the Logos Bible one - they have nearly identical functionality.

Question...
With the Desktop program I can have one machine on the beta channel and a second one one the standard channel.
Can I do the same with iOS and the iPad? Can I have one iPad running the beta version and the other the standard channel?I have not yet tried to follow the links that have been provided "just in case".
Do I have to follow those links on the device that I want to use the beta on?
Will the Apple store know the difference based on my iPads ID?Thanks in advance.

Yes this is possible - for a long time I was running the beta version on my iPad and the stable version on my iPhone (recently I installed the beta on my iPhone as well)

Yes - and the links go to a testflight site. Which is what is used to distribute the mobile betas on iOS.
So on one iPad you can simply use the Apple Store (which has the stable releases) and on the other you would use TestFlight to install and update versions of the beta app

Thank you Graham,
I think that I will start playing with the Beta this weekend.

Interesting that you have 14,000 titles downloaded to your ipad. I have about 9,700 downloaded to my ipad. Have you had any problems with so many resources on your mobile device? I have not.
