I think the programmers must have gone on spring break.

This must be a catch-up release for the Mac version. They had a lot of problems in the last beta release

That would make sense. They may have had to give some developers up to the Mac side of the house. If that is the case I gladly sacrifice for my needy Mac Brethren.

Hey Philip, I propose a variant of your saying: Dear programmers, we think you need to exhibit godly patience with our demands and hurry to implement everything we ask! [;)]

Search fields listed on the Resource Info panel are now displayed using
their primary alias/title instead of internal name (e.g., “Words of
Christ” not “words-of-christ”).How am I to perform a field search from the Find box if the internal name is not known eg. "Words of christ":blessed does not work?

Unfortunately my expectations have been numbed by Team Logos for anything major being released... For all the calls for more user decision on what resources are update, for the PBB and for the Sermon File... Well it is what 18+ months into the plan and still missing these key features... Still no Android app, time frames keep getting pushed out...
Actually had to have a discussion I honestly never thought I would have when called by Logos Academic in regard to whether our Bible College would like to set up the program for our students for the coming Semester. Had to let a great guy know at this time we are holding back from endorsing or offering any Bible Software. Personally the lack of producing key features has cost me tech support time for Logos and the few students I talked into buying a Package by showing off the PBB Reader and especially the Sermon Files based on the original estimate of it getting done back in the beginning to middle of 2010...
Would love to go back to endorsing Logos, however I've been close to uninstalling and selling via Ebay going to the competition where at least I know what I'm getting - Bible Software - not magazines(which btw is a good one) and Presentation software when the Bible software is still lacking...
So honestly does it really surprise anyone anymore that there is nothing exciting in the Beta... We have now hit the point were the surprise will come when these long overdue missing features and freedom to control what is downloaded to OUR systems is implemented. As for Android - I'd love it but even there I've just moved on to an option that knows what it provides and takes it serious. Which at one time personified Logos. However with too many irons in the fire it seems to have changed...
Hopefully we're pleasantly shocked with some delivery on overdue promises... Honestly rooting for it but not expecting it...

We see the most common use case to be picking the field name from the "All Text" drop down. The labels in that drop-down now match the resource info (or vice versa).
The next beta should add support for translating aliases that do not include spaces. I'm not sure if/when multi-word aliases will be supported, but it should work if you drop the spaces.
Finally, advanced users can check http://wiki.logos.com/Search_Fields_List to determine internal names.

And it appears that many of them were not addressed in this release.

Other than the download issue, what other problems have you seen? I had download trouble as well so I downloaded the package manually and ran it that way. Updated fine, and so far I'm seeing some of the improvements I hoped to see, fixing things broken in b1.

It would suffice to publish the internal name alongside the Primary alias in Info as this is more convenient than accessing the wiki.

Have you downloaded any updates or resources since installing Beta 2? I may need to read my bug reports in the Mac Beta forum and the Release Notes for Beta 2. I would love to be wrong on this.

OK. I could not stand it, so I installed L4 Mac Beta 2. Now, the app refuses to recognize my password. I will post a new bug report on the Mac Beta forum.
