How do I designate Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Tag, End, Etc..

When adding in new songs some of the verses and choruses don't show up as such and I have to manually adjust them.  But for some reason I can add the new slide but it doesn't show as a chorus or Bridge.  I'm able to get verses to count out properly but I can't get the choruses to register nor any other designation for set of lyrics.  I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what.  What lyric designations does Proclaim recognize and how do I set it up when adjusting or adding lyrics? What is the proper syntax?

Thanks

For chorus you'd add "Chorus" preceeding that stanza. So,

    Chorus 1

    foo

    Chorus 2

    bar

Would add two chorus slides to your presentation.

    Hope that helps,

Where would this be done? As the first line of the lyric paragraph or in
the box above with the check?

I've been putting the section names in square brackets in the lyrics box (or rather, in the text file I import into the lyrics box), like so:

    [Verse 1]

    These are the verse words

The eleven words of the verse

    [Chorus]

    And this is

    The seven word chorus

    Yes, here is

    The seven word chorus

    [Verse 2]

    Here's the second verse

It's mostly the same as the first

That defines what the parts are.  You can name them Verse, Chorus, or Sonny Jim as far as I can tell.  Note that I've made my chorus two slides (and, I suppose, fourteen words!) long by adding a blank line in the middle.

The Slide order line is where you choose which parts you want to put in the presentation.  So if your music leader decides he wants to move the first verse to the end, you can type "Chorus, Verse 2, Chorus, Verse 2, Verse 1, Chorus" into the Slide order box and the slides will show up in that order.

Not that I've found any official documentation on how it's *supposed* to work, but it seems to be working for me so far. :)

You would add those tags to both fields to create the song order:

Ahhh yes, Rebecca, thank you.  This is exactly what I needed to know. Ok Thank you.   Since you can't always see all of the slides in a song we wanted to use numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 for verse numbers and c for chorus, b for bridge, etc. This way we can just select the corresponding key on the keyboard and not have to hunt around with the mouse in order to find the right slide the team is singing.

Hunter, thanks for the visual.  It seems that both the boxes and lyric paragraphs have to match.
