Issues in new L5 resources

When looking in the L5 library at my new resources, in the detailed view, I've noticed a few issues.

- The Lange's commentary volumes on Galatians and Zechariah are missing their "Type", "Author", and "Series" detail in the column display. All the other volumes have it. This is a problem since collection rules frequently look for a type of "Bible Commentary".

- The same is true of the Exegetical Summary volume on Philippians.

- The same is true of the Black's NT Commentary on Ephesians.

- The same is true of "Haggai: An Expositional Commentary" by Shenton in the "Exploring the Bible Commentary" series.

- The same is true of the Joshua volume in Boice's Expositional Commentary series. (This is *not* a new resource - just noticed this.)

- "Lexham Hebrew Bible" is missing its author.

- Volume IX of Richard Baxter's works is missing its "Type" (Monograph). Same with Kendall's "Understanding Theology", Volume Three.

- "Preaching the Word: Leviticus" is missing Type and Author.

- The resource "Preaching Without Contempt" is missing Type, Author, Language, ...

- "The Lexham Greek-English Interlinear New Testament" is missing its Type (not a new resource).

Hopefully these issues can get corrected fairly quickly. Thanks,

Donnie

    Hi Donnie,

I have noticed such behavior too.  Try this: increase the width of the columns that you see are "missing" metadata. The text should appear.  I'm not sure why some metadata don't display, but after increasing the width of the column(s), they should appear. Hope this helps.

Good call. You don't even have to increase the width. You can decrease it. Or you can increase, see the information appear, then decrease it to less than its original width and see the information remain. Also, if you see the data displayed then scroll to a different screen and come back, it may be gone again.

The only resources that seemed to be missing information after this were Lexham Hebrew Bible and Standard Bible Atlas both missing "Author".

    I'd call this a bug.

You're right.  It is odd. Probably is a bug.

I am having some trouble reproducing this issue. Do you know of a consistent method of getting the information to not appear?

Screen shots, and information on what operating system you are using would also be helpful. Thank you!

I reported this problem during the beta testing. Whilst it has not been as bad since the last beta it still occurs. This is what I did just now:

    • switch to view of Entire Library
    • sort on Title (usually the default)
    • scroll down  -->  the Type of Authorized Version was blank
    • widen the Type column slightly  -->  its Type (Bible) appeared
    • change Type to original width  ->  Type still visible!
    • scroll down further  --> Greater Men & Women (GMWB4) has no Type
    • widen the Type column slightly  -->  its Type (Encyclopedia) appeared
    • change Type to original width  ->  Type still visible!

Keep scrolling and I find at least 4 more with the same results!

The Type column is wide enough to just show Encyclopedia. Commentaries show as "Bible Com..."  (12 chars), but one instance was blank and then restored as above!

EDIT: when I scrolled  back I found the same issue on different titles; worse than the first time through.

    Thanks for the tip.

Bumping this ... hoping to get some attention.

For me this problem is observed only on Logos Bible Software 5.0 SR-4 (5.0.0.1835) for Windows, and for a change it is OK in Logos Bible Software 5.0 SR-4 (5.0.0.1835) for Mac [:)]

[:)] As I have to do some further tagging and prioritizing, I accidentally discovered a work around.  Simply

    • Click the Resource Information button, and once the information panel appears on the right, the problem disappeared
    • Or Click on Prioritize button ... as above.

Hopefully, this provide some additional for the developers to fixed this issue, thanks:

This issue has been discussed here and here.  The only workarounds that I have found have been to resize the columns or open the info window.  For me it is repeatable when I use the PG DN key to browse through my library - there are missing resources on every page...
