Very Very Slow response time while On Air and in Edit mode.

I've noticed a considerable, very distracting slow down of the system while On Air and trying to move to Edit and edit a service slide (Bible Verse) while On Air.

This has been going on for a few weeks now.  had to pull the video cable tonight due to how slow it was to shut down the display on the projector.

Any Suggestion?

More than that, it's ridiculously slow even while not on air and editing. I'll type a sentence into the content box and watch for the next minute while the letters appear one at a time with a second or two in between each one.

    Anyone else have this problem?

I'm not seeing this at all.

I'm running on Windows. Which OS platform are you on? Which version of Proclaim software are you running?

I've just tried this and edits I make while online take about one second to appear "on Air"

What platform are you running on? What version of Proclaim?

What Internet connection do you have (from a bandwidth perspective)? Does it change if you run Proclam On Air when not connected to the Internet?

    Graham,

Thanks for getting back to me on this.    WE are using a new Mac with OS-X 10.8.4, 2.9 GHz, i5, 8GB 1.6 GHz DDR3 RAM, 1TB HD with .936 TB Free.  Bandwidth is via WISP running 2.9 Mbs down and 0.88 Mbs up   (Tested today while in ON Air mode)

When we first tried this, the edit mode was great!  We don't usually upload a lot of graphics and keep them local due to bandwidth and speed issues duying sync.

    Hi Leo

Thanks for that information - that should all work fine!

It looks as though others are seeing similar(ish) problems as per http://community.logos.com/forums/p/74633/521419.aspx#521419

Hopefully Logos will be able to comment on this after the weekend.

I understand and thanks for the other link too.
I see issue today as we progress thru the service.
I am staying in On-Air and Preview modes, not attempting edit.
    God Bless!

I'm unable to reproduce the lag you describe when testing locally. In order to help diagnose the issue could you please

    1. create a new presentation using the Seasonal Presentation (Labor day) template
    2. Go on air and make some edits, do you see the lag? what kind of item are you editing when you do?

This will help rule out the issue that it's related to something specific to your presentation.
