On-Screen Bible: New Feature for Proclaim

We are proud to release our newest feature for Proclaim this week: the new On-Screen Bible!

This new element for your order of service is designed to present Bible passages in a highly designed, powerful new way. Adding a verse or verse range is just as easy as the traditional Bible element, but the On-Screen Bible enhances the display with animation and context.

Available for the first time in Proclaim version 1.20, there are three distinct styles available for use. Each of these styles present the verse or verse range in a highly designed view that brings focus to not only the verse, but the context of the verse.

All of the styles have the option to show the book introduction (showing the word "John" before showing the actual verse) and multiple color choices.

In the first two styles, if you turn off the option to "Show book introduction," as you move from slide to slide the timeline bar updates to reflect its location in the actual order of books in the Bible. If the next slide has a verse that is later in the Bible it will come in from the right; if the next passage is from a location prior, it animates in from the left.

In the third style, my personal favorite, when the verse appears it comes in from the beginning of the book and scrolls down to the verse you are presenting. This is great for showing your congregation the context of the verse, as portions of the verses around the key verse you are presenting are also shown.
