Bug?: Help Manuals in Library

The Logos Help and Verbum Help files are now indexed and counted as resources of type Manual in Library. But they are not included in searches for title:, type: .. that is until I changed a few things. The Library filters worked after I tagged and rated them, and after finding that 'type:manual' worked in Search as a temporary collection!

I picked them up immediately after reading this. But I've been had! There is one entry in Logos that is not in Verbum for not good reason. Discrimination. Unfair ..... or maybe a wee error that doesn't matter as I have both? [:D] {language intended for Rosie's amusement}

Search Fields is in both! If you order by Ranked, that result is the last one.

The reference box is not working. No matter what I type, in the reference box it does not work.

[Y] A good step forward - so now we have a 78 page very basic manual to start with.
Some things are in fact in the Logos Help file that aren't yet in the Verbum help file, for example, the Interactives, Inline Search, Factbook, Ask the Author, Groups Tool, and other Verbum 6 features. Basically it looks like the Verbum 6 Help File is actually the Verbum 5 Help File. This is also the case from the Help Menu. Ouch.
As well as the missing Verbum manual book icon.
In my install, neither the Logos nor the Verbum manual have the reference box.

The reference box next to the visual filter.
I believe this is the Personal Book provided by Denise - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/99153.aspx - as opposed to the manual provided by Logos.
Can you check if this is the case?

Thanks Graham. What is the name of the Logos Help File?

I was using the stable version of the software. I see it now in the beta.

I guess it's possible but, just to check, are you running the beta or stable release?

I am on the Windows version, 6.1 RC 1.

I'm on the latest Mac beta, and don't see it.

The Help manuals should be present for everyone (in 6.1 RC 1). As Dave Hooton stated in the first post, they probably won't show up in a search for "type:manual" until the Library Catalog Index is rebuilt. You can force this to happen by adding a tag, changing a rating, etc.

I didn't see it until I did an update resources.

We're aware of and are working on both of these issues.

I see them now, thanks Bradley.

Yes, responding to myself.
I notice that the date on my help manual is October 31, 2014 Is that right?

It sounds right; it was last updated right before the launch of Logos 6. It has always been on your computer (powering the Help panel); 6.1 just makes it visible in the Library (and searchable). Thus, the "old" last-updated date is correct.
That's also why running "update resources" is likely to have little effect, because the resource is already present. (Much more likely is that some background process coincidentally updated the Library catalog at the same time, causing the metadata to be reindexed.)
